"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I met two girls at the gym. I approach both of them at different times and chit-chatted for a bit. I basically approach them in the sense of making new friends/meeting new people and help with my approach anxiety. One week, I felt great. I had the urge to approach a woman who is a trainer (not at the gym we worked out at) and we clicked well. I also approached a new employee there, and the conversation went well.

The other day, as I was going leg presses, the trainer sits besides me to do leg presses as well. Well, during one of the sets, we both finished...Kinda facing each other, but she then decided to look at her phone and act like I didn't exist. I brushed it off, like whatever. Then we meet again where the leg extension machines were. Most of the leg extension machines were busted, so I had no choice but to do them next to her. I spoke to the old dude who went to do his leg extension next to her about how many sets he had left, and he had no idea what I was talking about. As I approached him, I had to cross her path and she took her headphones off thinking I was going to approach her. I then discovered there was a leg extension machine in front of us, so I used that. She then left the gym after that.

Then as for the new employee at the gym. As I was doing front raises with the dumb bells, she came to my orbit and when I turned around (I can see her reflection through the mirror), she does the same sh*t and pulls out her phone and acts like I'm not there. I believe she was looking for weights that people didn't rerack, and her manager was with her too. I continued doing my workouts without giving two sh!ts (which is ironic because I'm typing this message).

I broke the ice the first time with these women...Can I get some common courtesy?

:nono:

Is this gym a place where you work out regularly at the the same time? I don't pick up girls from the gym i work out at regularly because I'm going to have to keep seeing them after we break up.

I have a membership at LA Fitness for when I travel and there is one local that I go to once in a while, which is a meat market, there I would have no problem picking up a girl. I know a lot of girls that work out regularly and they don't like be approached by guys while they are working out.

It's kind of like dating girls you work with. I have dated a few girls at gyms in the past but it was special circumstances.

Seymour Just like you have approach/social anxiety so do MOST women. Just because you approached her originally doesnt mean she is obligated to make the next convo. for next time just start talking to her. Girls look at their phone to try and et out of a wierd sttuation which would have been non existent if you just started speaking to her. I really do think you are over thinking and oculd have all been avoided.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

You're over-thinking the mundane, man. Cell phone + headphones + a chick = a zero approach machine.
