At what rate do you gain weight per month/year. This is assuming you are working out to gain weight and you are following the stikies on this forum (working out 3-4 days a week, eating right, working out right, ect. ).

I gained weight at 10 lbs per year, workingout wrong but eating right. Now i've been gaining weight at around 2 lbs a month for the last 3 monthes working out right (by incorporating squats/deadlifts into my workouts)

What about you guys?

Gained a ridiculous 52lbs over the course of one year. Working out 3 times a week. 2g protein / lb bodyweight. High-fat, low-carb. Probably put quite a bit of fat on since last year, but my thighs are really quite lean and I've put at least 2 inches on each. Really not sure how I've put on this much weight. Gained about 0.5 lbs this month, though I've been having a break from lifting and haven't been eating as much as I should.

52lbs easily half of that is fat.
Don't just look at numbers.
52 pounds is 20kg.
Noone gains 20kg of muslce in a year.
7-8kg? Probably, rest fat.
High fat low carb says it all.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I gained probably about 15lbs in the last 12 weeks and 10lbs of those are Lean body mass. I expect the gain to come slower for my next 12 week cycle though.

Like I said, I probably put on quite a bit of fat. I've always been able to put on weight very easily, and was quite underweight when I first started thanks to a diet with a bare minimum of protein. I'll be able to tell you my bodyfat when I get my calipers in next week, though at the moment I can't even 'pinch an inch'.

Don't be so quick to judge the high-fat, low-carb diet. I suggest you google 'anabolic diet' and read up at the following:

Espi; I don't use any steroids. People who haven't seen me for a year sometimes don't even recognise me because I look so different. It's great.

You're right, Mr. S: 52 lbs. in one year ain't happening.

I hate to say this, but I would estimate 99.9% of reported gains are grossly exaggerated.
I was 133lbs at the time of weighing, July last year. Yesterday morning, (post crap, empty stomach) I was 185lbs. I never claimed that it was all muscle.

Believe what you want, it doesn't matter to me, because I know for sure what I've accomplished. I'm still nowhere near where I want to be, but I'm gonna keep on going.

No worries. It's really weird how fast the weight went up though.

Congrats on your gains btw.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
