"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Well, I kinda put myself in this boat.

My Ex is a Cathloic, and I am an Athiest. Although I am an Athiest, I grew up in church, played the piano for the church, read the bible from cover to cover, etc.. point is, I know the bible and I actually like history/religion.

so one night, like 2 weeks ago, she comes over and we are talking, and I bring up an interesting fact about the ten commandments (I wil save that story for another day).

she mentions that she is going to reading the bible more.

Me, tr ying to be nice and start a conversation, ask her a very simple question... "What version of the bible do you have"

********Warning.. I am not making this up, this girl is actually this clueless about her own religion********************

Now, I am thinking she is going to say the King James version, since that is the version most people have.

She tells me "I have the old testiment, I need the new testiment, because I can't understand the old testiment."

Now, I actually had to think about this one.. I asked myself "damn, you can buy the old testiment without the new testiment.. I'll be damned"

But then I thought about it and I asked her what was the difference between the old and new testiment and she told me "it's two different bibles, I know what it is. The new testiment is an updated version of the old testiment"... and get this, she had the odacity to say "duh"

After i explained, without laughting, the difference between the old and new testiment, she felt bad and started crying. I told her that if she wanted to be the best person she wanted to be (main reason I broke up with her) she had to know what she belived in.. .yo uare willing to die for something you know nothing about. I even offer to help her with it... even though I am an athiest, I have nothing against people who aren't, I would be happy to help her if she needed any help.

So she takes me up on my offer and since my life has been a living hell...

First and foremost, she isn't halfway done with the book of Genesis, and now she doesn't want to have sex before marrage, so unless I marry her she won't give me any... I don't believe in marrage, so you see where that's going.

She also reminds me on a constant basis how I am going to hell with underwear soaked in gasoline once I die.

She even has the nerve to come over here and "pray" for me because I don't know what I am doing.

Today I got fed up and told her that I don't want to talk to her anymore until she gets over this crap. I think it's great she is taking herself seriously, but damn...

I just thought that was an itneresting story and the moral of it is to stay away from born again christains.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Well, most born again Christians would

1) actually know the difference between the Old and New Testaments
2) stay a virgin til marriage
3) not date non Christians
4) ... oh, forget it. Either way, your mileage may vary. This chick is nothing like any girl I know of any denomination.

Traditional Christian chicks are excellent for LTRs, usually. I'm Christian myself which means no belief difference problems there, but you'll run into many, most likely.

Here is some help from a born-again Christian.

Tell her first of all that Jesus is about dispensing grace and forgiveness and not judgement. Jesus did not run around telling people that they were going to hell - that's what the Pharisees did, and they were his adversary, the ones who helped get him killed. We are supposed to be humble, not self-righteous and holier-than-thou.

Now, about the sex, this is my own interpretation of the Bible's message. I would tell her that "marriage" in ancient times in the desert meant taking a woman into your tent, feeding her, and protecting her from the elements. Divorce could mean death. Essentially, it was a monogamous commitment. There was no piece of paper from the king or the government. The Bible laughs at kings and governments. So tell her that our modern fixation upon a piece of paper from the government is a distortion of the Bible's message. If you love her and are committed to her, that should be enough.

It should not be that difficult to convince her. You can search the bible at http://bible.gospelcom.net/ to get a couple of verses to make whatever point to her that you choose.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Don't diss people's religions, man. Ignore them at worse, or just say "it's not for me".

By the way, you can buy the different testaments seperately. I have in my hand an annotated book of The New Testament

i don't think you guys get it...

I don't want to date her... she is my EX girlfriend, not a girl I am talking to.

However, we were together for a year. I do care about her, and because I do care about her, I want her to be the best person she can be, even if that means a religous person.

For teh guy that said I am a dumbass, I don't care if I can't **** her, i am just pointing out a fact... I can and do get sex.

I know msot religious people aren't bad and I wanted to laught at her and tell her she is ignorant but i felt bad because I think she got the point when she started cry ing
