"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

This line of thinking is actually what causes a lot of problems. Not a lot of people care about how polite, genuine, or good you are - nor do they view things this way. They care more about status, and **** like that.

So, while you think you're being a good guy or gentleman by doing these things - like focusing solely on them, telling them you like them, doing all these kind gestures for them, reassuring them, bringing yourself down to their level and sharing insecurities / rejections to prove that you wont leave them, and making yourself appear more "normal", faithful, genuine, and less intimidating and unavailable in their eyes - even if they SAY its what they want - they're viewing you as low status, desperate, clingy, undesirable (by other women), etc. They want the best catch; the highest in demand. A lot of these things they "hate" is what they seek after vigorously - for this very reason.

This is where a lot of guys get confused, because what they thought would work is actually killing their interest's attraction towards them. But the guy who's making them uncertain - even if he's a jerk or player - is intriguing them, making them wonder, having them pursue harder to win their affection, and getting them to commit to them, and so forth. All of this despite complaining about them constantly, and claiming to want the opposite.

This is the illogical nature of attraction, and these things occur simultaneously. "Oh, he's a jerk, he's dating other girls, he's not interested, I hate him, blah blah, but you already like me"... Guess who she's interested in, chasing after, trying to prove her worth to, etc? Not the guy who she knows is already interested - even if its what she SAYS she wants - literally as she's contradicting herself, and seeking the opposite... Too easy, not exciting, nothing to worry about, over-eager, no challenge or mystery = no attraction. But you can give them attention, feed their ego, listen to them complain and give them advice, etc, like a good "friend".

Being good or bad means **** all, there is no direct connection between their words and actions, and everything you think is right is wrong.

It's all a game, really. But one you gotta play.

Good day.

Being told I wasn't being emotional enough, tried to fake it... wasn't congruent and felt like overall ****.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
