"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Here's a new one.

Many girls today (especially early in the relationship) are "fly by night", meaning there are no dates, just opportunities. Dates come after orgasms for her.

So imagine a girl asks you out on a certain night but you are on a date.

Then a few days later you fall asleep and wake up to find that she asked you out at 11PM the night before.

So you offer a raincheck for next week but she replies the next day and says "I'm going out of town then but I'm available tonight" but your car is in the shop.

Do you think women will nuke the relationship at some point (knowing that if they did that, it would mean low interest)? Or does it work in reverse with women? (Be unavailable, etc.). Note that none of this was "games".

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

For every girl I've asked out, if I've had to cancel, it's only been one time.

Except for one girl. I canceled 5 or 6 times before our second date!

So I fell asleep and woke up to find yet another message of her asking me out (at 9:15PM) - I thought my phone had somehow sent me a copy of an old message but she did indeed want to see me again last night. I know I've never avoided a girl 4 times in a row (not one like this who I would do anything to sleep with). She probably thinks I'm dating someone but it could be interesting when I finally do see her.

So I have cancelled many dates on chicks I don't really care about...and what ALWAYS happens is it raises their attraction. That's as long as we have already been out together at least a couple times. If I'm not totally interested in them and I see a better opportunity coming along, you better believe I'm out doing something else. The women can sense that you don't really care about them and that it's not a game and it definitely raised their attraction.

Where I got into trouble once a long time ago was when I tried to feign indifference. I cancelled a date or two with a girl I was in to. I tried to make it seem like I didn't really care, but she definitely knew I was in to her. So she gave me the 'next' treatment...which I probably deserved. Women can sense interest level better than we can.

All that being said, cancelling a date every once in a while doesn't hurt. I usually try to reschedule every 5th date or so, just to keep them on their toes. But cancelling four times in a row....that's pretty ballsy if you are truly interested in the broad. I guess she is in to you more than you are in to her. Nice problem to have I suppose.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
