What's the deal with Toronto and its culture coming down hard on guys that do cold approach?

So I have been following a few stories that center around Toronto in the recent decade and this is what I have seen:

• Eaton City Center in 2012 where they went bananas over PUA guys doing cold approach at the mall
• Jack Denmo being arrested recently in Ontario and sentenced
• Dude here hires a dating coach and apparently gets arrested for cold approaching
• Justin Marc recently being arrested

Now I do admit, there could be a real strong chance these dudes are predatory. I just saw the Jack Denmo guy and got bad vibes from the start. But when it has happened that many times, I am left wondering if Toronto has a history of just not letting guys do Game or what.

Great cold approach mindset

There is this Asian dude that's going into the TTC (ie our transit system), that his intended purpose is to spread good vibes and joy by approaching people, sharing affirmations, sharing pizza, etc..... It's an interesting video to watch as it does point to someone who has a good cold...

Oh, btw, these newstories are from women where there was an allegation of sexual activity (ie it happened in the guy's apartment, or he's otherwise branded as a rapist). There is no stories, where any innoscent guy going up to a girl and talking to her has resulted in imprisonment because he talked to a girl. This is not George Orwell's 1984.

This issue is not about cold approach, it is about consent behind closed doors. That has nothing to do with cold approach. That has everything to do with screening the women you are connecting with, interpreting what her intentions are or if you are making any promises to her and if you are honest with her about your intentions, do not escalate any anti-slvt defense and just leave it.

At the end of the day, if you are the type like @Travel memoir21 and are looking for a partner then you have 100% nothing to worry about because you'll both get intimate with each other when you are BOTH ready and nobody is going to call the police or make a rape case.

In none of the four cases that you've cited did anyone get arrested for cold approaching. It's important to get basic facts straight.

I used to follow Jack Denmo since he seemed like the Canadian Steven Shapiro—another guy who went onto college campuses cold-approaching girls under the pretense that it was all a prank.

After a while, I remember Denmo being banned from Western University, though I don’t recall why. Then he realized his content was dying, so he kept saying he was going to the States, re-uploading old videos, and talking about starting a dating course. I think his mom passed away around that time, and I’m assuming that’s what started his downward spiral. Maybe that’s why Steven Shapiro and other pranksters are now doing actual pranks instead of hitting on women. I’m not sure.

Anyway, if you want to add more cases, there’s the one about the club promoter I keep mentioning, and another about a girl who was involved with five hockey players, which was later deemed consensual.

Either way, personally, I haven’t had any issues in Toronto when it comes to having friends, dating, or things like that I have heard of, except for that club promoter.

Toronto isn't coming down on guys that do cold approach...and no one was arrested for cold approaching women...not according to any of the articles/videos you posted.
