So I got this profesor, she's probably the most attractive one I've ever had; young, smart, and beautiful.. I just send her emails to ask questions about course materials. And in her responses sometimes there's a winky face. When I'm in class I like to just check out her bodyy up and down, maybe she notices. Are these winky faces flirtatious or are they just her being informal + nice?

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Wow!

Really desperate aren't you?
Although you are a troll and unworthy of a response, I am feeling generous today. Desperation is defined as a state of dispair leading to extreme or irrational behaviour. In the context of this conversation I would say that it is more likely that it is you who is desperate. Maybe not desperate for a woman, but desperate for attention. This is how I am being generous, by giving you some. Because obviously you don't get out much.

Whereas, I am out hanging with different hot women every day. I am trying to determine what would be the best move foreward and fortunately there are actually competent people on this board (unlike you), who are capable of giving solid advice. An example being the poster above you who is suggesting caution when dealing with someone with authority. That's sound advice that I am going to adhere to because I don't need no drama.

Thank you for your 'generosity'.

Do you really think a winks face from a professor is her chasing you?

Have you any idea if she does this with others in her classes?

What's that smell?

Your desperation.

She could have seen you checking her out and is doing the "wink" thing to flirt with you knowing you "like" her.

Only you know for sure as none of us are there.

Don't read into it nor show any "giddyness" over it. Be cool, calm and collected as some chicks will just do flirty crap to feel pretty and not have any intention of taking it further. It may make her day go by better knowing some student likes her but not going past innocent flirting.

You can't get mad at it nor perceive it as true interest let alone do you know if she isn't doing the same thing to other guy students as her "innocent sign off" in your class or others.

Depending on how you can handle it (while class with her is still ongoing) if it turns out to be her just innocently flirting to feel pretty and you don't care if it winds up to be that, you should ask her out sometime to do something fun. If she says no. It's no.

If you can't handle possibly being "turned down" when thinking she was showing geniune interest all along and the class is not ending soon (as in the entire class itself and you have a month or so to go) just keep it normal and ask her out when the class is complete. Otherwise if it's going to fvck you up if she says no it might be awkward as hell being in her class and could affect your grade. It's depending on how you are with "rejection" if it happens. It may not be you. It's the rules etc. of her job and involvement with students.

To be honest though being she's a professor she's not going to risk her job. Especially going through school etc. to get to that position.

You might want to wait until you aren't her student before asking her out. Though if she takes her job seriously she may "reject" you not as a person but on the strength of her lifes employment.

Try asking her about her job in person and how she likes it.(Not through traceable emails) You might get a feel that way if she just took the job and is planning on leaving or if she is serious about it for her lifes employment. If she is vague and doesn't "open up" it's not you. It's her job, and teachers are told not to get involved or give out personal information to students. It could end up ugly for them.

If she seems like she doesn't care for it. Then you might if her flirting is serious have a better read on just asking her out.

Again:

It depends on if she takes her job seriously or not.

If she's not a normal flirt with other students.

And if you decide to ask her while the class is still going or waiting till it's done and you're not in her class anymore. Just keep normal conversation in the meantime and see if she opens up more to you. If she doesn't? She is more worried about her job, the flirting wasn't serious to begin with, or even if it was she may not want to risk it with a student. Especially with all the sh1t going on in the papers and news. They get fired or end up in rubber rooms, get smeared all over and most unless insane won't risk that even IF they really like you. (If you met her elsewhere not as a student there might be no problem at all.)

You have to decide and don't take it personal. Just be understanding.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

There's no "sh1t test" involved nerd. It's called a job for life. Try to understand that and keep it moving. You'll find that out one day when you have a career. And if you do and still don't seem or want to understand? Then there's no help for the socially retarded.

When I talk to her outside of class she tells me lots about herself. And she'll always be trying to make more time to talk to me even when she's got other sh1t to do. I don't know it's kind of weird actually. Even when I am sitting in class, I can see her look at me and make eye contact but it looks like she is just trying to keep her cool so nobody notices.

Oh im sorry do you know the professor personally and that she isnt the type of chick to bang one of her students, and would not put up a slvt defense if someone asked her out? Do you know anything about me or my career?

No, so why are you acting like a butthurt little bîtch?

Isn't it supposed to be more desirable because it is bad and wrong??? Doesn't that arouse women?

I would think so, but its not like shes a TA, its her job so shes not going to risk all that to bang you in a closet or something you know. As i said before i could definitely see her saying something along the lines of "we shouldnt date because youre my student", even if she is interested in you. if shes a hot professor shes certainly been asked out numerous times. You'll have to feel it out for yourself and just see how it goes.

Yes. "Putting up a slvt defense" excuse for her "job" is a “**** test”. LOL

I know TONS of teachers. A lot get involved with each other and even then have to keep it on the low till they're married so students don’t find out or suspect anything. (Doesn't always work) Not as bad as a teacher student. None have ever gotten involved with students. You see other ones who do elsewhere ended up as front page news, had to move, gotten divorced and so on. As well as are batsht insane.

One older dude who looks about 50yo I don't know personally, but through the grapevine and seen pictures from friends hooked up with and is currently dating a 24-25 year old ex-student whom I used to work with at a different job (Not sure if he's still teaching, but she's not in college anymore.)

That's a bit different then a teacher current student relationship, banging. and is a valid excuse from any sane person to not throw their career away not a "sh1t test".

Less "teachers pet" on PornHub for you. More critical thinking skills.

So then ask her out. It'll either be yes or no.

Go to her office hours and talk to her face-to-face in private. Have some legit questions about the classwork, which she will see right through as intended. Get back to us with specifics on how that goes and we can give more specific help. As of now it's probably just girly smilicon BS, but you won't know for sure until you get face-to-face with her.

Nice to see this topic covered - the "student likes teacher" issue. I've been on the same position but they were INDIVIDUAL classes. I wondered whether to take advantage of the fact I could see her with the class excuse (well I was interested in her classes in the first place) or just drop the classes and ask her out. I thought I had to sacrifice the classes in order to make a move on her. So that's what I did. No luck though, maybe I had a shot if I kept going to her class - but I think I've made the right choice.

Anyway, I'm not an experienced guy but if you show actual interest, maybe not verbally but make her NOTICE you're interested - she'll be extremely careful about using the winks and that stuff so you don't get a wrong idea. If she keeps doing it - make a move. If she doesn't - choose your class or the POSSIBILITY of going out with her. The alpha move is to give your class a higher priority. I chose the other one.

Some girls use winky faces, just like some girls dot their i's with little hearts.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
