Master Don Juan
there are many tips on how to have a good conversation, but they are missing somthing. Why else do you think you hear so often "a date is nothing more then a job interveiw with a chance of ending up naked"
rememember that a ocnversation should not be like an interveiw and it is only like that because you make it like that.
you would not describe a conversation with your best freind as bieng like a job interveiw.
well you have been told to just ask her questions, and answer he questions, so no wonder it seems like an interveiw, now girls like guys to listen and people love to talk about themselves, this is true but it does not mean they want to be interveiwed!
Our conversation 'model' is lacking one aspect, this aspect infact if what turns the ocnversation from an interveiw to rapport and is the diffrence between that 'date interveiw' and a conversation with your best freind.
it is missing, the statment
not only do you ask and answer questions but you make statments about other things. When she answers you instead of asking another question make a statment.
take example one, the date interveiw
you: so kate what is your favourite film
her:bridgit jones
you:so what do you like about that film
her:*says what she likes about it*
her:and whats your favourite film
you: the god father
you:and what about favourite music?
does this sound all to fimiliar? is this how you talk to girls? there are no statments made only questions and answers.
you would not imagine a ocnversation like this with your best freind.
In this conversation not only will you run out of things to say, you will not build rapport and will not connect.
now put some statments in
you:so kate what is your favourite film
her:bridgit jones
you: yeah i have seen that, it was quite intresting, i liked the anti climax at the end.
her:yes that was amazing, i loved that film, and bridgit is so pretty.
you: well it was nice, but chick flciks arent for me, i prefer the god father.
her:thats just shooting, defintly not my type of film.
you:well each to there own
which conversation do you think is better, this has rapport this is how you would talk to your best freind, and you must talk to girls liek that, they will find you so much more intresting.
In the second conversation you start with the same question but after she replys you make a statment about the film instead of askign a question about it, dont tell me what if you do not know this film because this is only an example. You will also be abale to keep talking all day because you can extend the conversation so easily.
and you do not need to start asking questions to extend it, you can explore your own statments. You could cary on with "al-pachino acted so well in the god father, blah blah blah
once you start making thse statments the girl will follow up on your statments with her own because you are giving her somthing to work with, so she will not be interveiwing you!
