Yes, crashing a hotel party isn't a bad idea, but there's one or 2 problems you guys need to work on!

If you're at a conference (explaining your presence) why:

- do you have a local accent?

- is there no mention of the conference in the hotel (on signs, etc)

- don't you have a room in the hotel? This is important if you wanna score, no?

I'm sure you can answer 'em, but it's some food for thought!

If you don't think of it as a pickup, and just take an interest in what someone is doing (i.e. reading book in bookstore, getting stuff at mall), all your really doing is making conversation. At the end of the day, she is going to have to feed off whatever you say or do, and take an interest in you in order to give up her number.

What all these guy don't get is that women adore men who are interested in things, interested in life in general, people who want to go out and learn and explore.

My advice to you if your going out solo, is to go anywhere where you are comfortable and people congregate, be it a bar, club, coffee shop, bookstore, mall, and start conversations...just talk to people. If you learn the ability to start small talk on anything, it is a skill that will help you in all areas of life...

In a non alcohol pickup environment, i find the best way to build rapport with a chick is to challenge her in the conversation. What I mean by this is that you find a way to ask her questions that requires an intellectual response. Don't ask her a random brainteaser, but challenge her in any way you can...Girls love to say that they had a meaningful conversation with a guy, and if they find you good looking to boot, your in their pants on the quick...
