What would you do if you had $500k?

-I would probably invest in stocks(specifically in alternative fuels)
-Pay for tuition
-Go to a foreign country and give back to the community(poorer countries in Central and South America)
-Travel abroad
-buy a nice apartment
-all the rest would be transferred to my savings account along with my parents

I'd like the answers to be geared toward multiplying the money, not "spending it on some hos on Vegas".

OK, then, how bout "some hos on Mexico." Seriously, I'd put 40% in equities (diversified), 20% in bonds, and the rest in a mix of short term treasuries. I'd also look into buying some real estate at bargain prices. Then, I'd buy a new 52' Samsung HDTV.
