hi all.

ok, 2morrow im going out with some workfriends to a steak restaurant.

lots of hot chicks coming.

now, im socially retarded. hardly ever drink, barely know how to order. so i need some help. (make fun of me if u wish).

so.

let me begin by metioning its a steakhouse and not a nightclub.

they're probably gonna order drinks first, and then food.

thing is, i would like something to get me a bit drunk.

beer usually doesnt do it, even though it goes well with steak.

so im just wondeing if ordering a jack and coke OR a screwdriver b4 a steak would make me look stupid.

if so, what hard hitting drinks do u recommend?

your sincerely.
social retard.

Order a red wine (goes with steak) and watch the women copy you, or want to try it too.

First, don't get drunk. Just get "tipsy" or "buzzed". You know? Just to the point where you feel good and relaxed. Not, being drunk and acting a fool at a resturaunt. Just drink whatever you like; it doesn't matter what you order before a meal.

Dood. I was about to make a whole thread blasting you and these sorts of post. But maybe you really don't know... number one.. how old are you? It would help if people posted their age.

Waiters send drink orders to the bartender who will make the drink send it back to you via the waiter.

Order what you like. Your a man. You should be ordering with confidence...this thread shows your insecurities about this whole night. Do you plan on second guessing yourself all night? Do you plan on planning out every little step all night? Can you live life off the cuff? Because life rarely follows our little mental scripts of how it should go and what we will do. You gotta go with the flow man.

Talk to the waiter about what you want. Don't make it take so long that everyone else is annoyed but if you have a question ask the waiter.

People that are timid will try and have their order all figured out so they don't make anyone else wait to order.

Someone a little more confident won't mind being the center of attention while they ask the waiter what kind of lager they suggest to go with a porterhouse.

Sip on a gin martini. It's a traditional sophisticated drink that you can sip on and look stylish for any dinner. Don't be stupid though and drink the whole thing in like 3 gulps and keep ordering them like shots. There are far to mamy people who do this and make absolute asses of themselves because of the alcohol content. Anyway traditional martini's were made with gin and not vodka and the flavors of vermoth and gin mix conciderably smoother then that of vodka. Sip on two during dinner and you're almost james bond in the eyes of a date...and i don't care who says conversely, gin is just the best dinner liquor hands down.

I would say go with the red wine. Goes very well the steak and is more classy. If one Jack and coke will get you in the mood, wine will definetly do the job as well. Are the people you going with around the same age as you as well? Most likely these guys are gonna order drinks to get drunk or get in the mood and wine is not goin to be on their minds. They will probably take the micky out of you for ordering red wine. Red wine shows you have class and you know what to drink and where.

The waiter should bring the wine/drinks menu first or it should be at the table. Do practice the names of the different wines. Leave the impressing part to the rest of the guys, your job is to enjoy the meal. Red wine is made for that.

I don't drink, friends laugh but I could give a fvckless. I'm the only one that orders a coke and I'm dam proud of it! Lol.

I had a hottie friend one time actually get mad that I wasn't drinking. Seriously, MAD. Who the hell gets mad if someone you barely even know doesn't drink?

I immediately accused her of wanting to have drunk sex with me and she wouldn't stop laughing and touching me.

I don't think it matters what you drink really, don't order wine or whatever because you feel like everyone else is doing it. Only if you want to, then do it.

I'll go to a bar and drink cokes all day! :)

I don't even think this post makes sense but that's because it's 4AM and I'm sleepy and I'm going to bed! Nite nite!
