What to do when you're not up to it

In the DJ bible, under long-term relationships, in one of the threads it says not to talk to a girl, on the phone, more than once a week. That it makes things boring.

I know this is true. It's just that i'm not the one calling. It's her. Sometimes she calls me multiple times a day. If I don't atleast get back to her voicemails that day or pick up some calls, it just pisses her off and gets her doing the samething to me, out of; revenge. Sometimes, I really don't feel like talking. Not just to her. Just talking in general. Right now, I have told her that my voicemail and texts are fked up and that I can't get access to my messages. I then turn my phone off so it goes straight to the voicemail. If she doesn't know I get her calls, she won't get mad if I don't answer them.

Overall, is this something I have to put up with if I want to keep her around? It's not even the rule that's bothering me. I don't want to not talk to her just to "seem like I have other stuff going on", and to show that "i'm not always available." Although, that's a nice benefit.

If you're in a LTR, you don't need to play games. Talk to her on the phone. However, keep conversations short. Save the conversation for when you see her.

Avoiding her is only going to hurt the relationship. Same with talking on the phone for hours on end. Saving convo for when you see her in person will strengthen it.

She doesn't have much to say when she calls either. Thats what gets to me. I feel like I'm the entertainer.

Recently though, she's been trying to get me jealous. She calls me when she's in class, then doesn't give me attention. She lets me listen in on how much "fun" she's having. Always laughing. "(OHH CHARLIE HAHAHAHA YEAH NO HAHAHAHAHAHAHA) .......sorry.. so.. yeah... (HAHAHAHAHAHA THATS JUST BLAH BLAH BLAH) .... sorry... so? yeah...

If she's calling you to make you jelouse then make use of your caller ID and DON'T PICK UP THE PHONE. or if you do just tell her you've got some some stuff to do and don't have time to chat and get off really quickly. I mean i'm sure you've got better things to do then listen to your girl yap on about nothing at all.

I'm with a girl right now who knows not to call me unless she wants to meet me somewhere. We NEVER just talk on the phone, we agree why bother? I mean we see each other enough where whatever we have to say to each other can probably wait until then and also it gives us something to talk about when we are together. We're both also fairly busy with our own lives and don't have time for stupid phone tag.

This is only your perception of what's happening. I don't understand why the hell she wants to get you jealous by calling. Is she fvcking some other guy when she's talking to you on the phone?

Perhaps you're reading into this too much. Quit with the phone game bull5hit. It's only irritating because she can't reach you.

So you dont wanna mess things up with your LTR....huh? Good, that is actually good....but....one question though,

do you have a life, outside, of your long term relationship? I mean, are you busy doing things in life that you want to do? Because if not, she sees no problem in calling you all day because your at home all the time.

So shes calls, and is talking with somebody else in the background, you want to know why, because you shouldnt be at home!

You should be out socializing and enjoying life just like your girl is. I mean come on kid, dont you have anything to do?

Hey, I do not want to come off as harsh, but there has got to be something that you like to do, do it. And for the record, and this is for any body else reading this as well.....when your girl does things that irriates you, I dont give a damn what it was, whether it was a fart while having sex, or her stupid azz conversations.....TELL THAT ***** TO STOP DOING IT... Dont give a damn, you are the man, she needs you you dont need her, stop kissing these *****es asses.

^^^^^ Word. I know where your coming from and I find that if you just do what you really WANT to do you'll be fine. If you want to talk to her call her. You know what will be unattractive, and you know not to be needy, so play it by intuition. But do you want to listen to her talking to someone else? Just ask her to call you back when she's less busy.
