Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Look, I'm sure you all have read this situation many times but there's this chick that I've been eyein for a long time. I see her all the time at school. From what I hear, she's VERY smart. Anyways, I know she's seen me alot on campus. We've never had class together before. So my question is, how the hell do I approach her. Do I just say hi and try to strike up a conversation? I just don't want to come off as a freak. I just need 5 minutes and I'm sure i'll get her number. HELP!

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Yup pretty much just approach and say hi, introduce yourself, ask her name. It would be better if you can find a "reason" to stop her or a quick topic that you can talk about such as asking about her clothes or saying "hey I always see you near such and such class I was wondering if you take that class" or see if she is holding any textbooks and stop her and ask her about one of those classes, just approach.

-Begin talking to her as if you already know her (this will put her at ease).

-Within a short period of time after this say “oh, by the way my name is Mo1234” ( she should say hers, but if she doesn’t then just casually say ‘and your name is?’)

-End the conversation first (this way you don’t appear desperate/needy)

-Tell her that you have to get going, but you would like to keep in contact so you will need her email or number.

What NOT to do:

- Verbally tell her you are interested (she already knows this and saying it out loud puts her on the spot and will make her feel uncomfortable).

Here's an idea. She would be sitting somewhere chatting up with some of her friends; make sure that all of them are girls. You go sit somewhere nearby pretending to keep yourself busy by reading a book or smoking a cigarette. At the same time listen to their conversations. If you feel the gist of what they are talking about and have an opinion to share about the topic, interject them. They might be surprised at first, but if they enjoyed your feedback, a conversation flow will occur. Try to maintain the talk about non-personal things. The topic of the conversation could transition from politics to the latest hollywood flick. At that time, neither you nor her know each others name. Do that as soon as you plan to leave, saying "By the way what's your name?". Not only will she gladly give it to you but she will also eagerly ask for yours. Next time you see her, you can easily approach her and maybe take it to the personal level; ideally if she is alone at the time.
