What is your experience/opinion of vacuums?

I know the theory and the supposed benifits ie cinching in the stomach, giving you a tighter waist, better posture, better "natural weight belt" arund your lower spine.

I have just started doing them and my aim is to do 4 vacuums to "failure" (when I need to breath again) 2/3 times a day, every other day.

I'm open minded about this so Im trying it, Im just not convinced that its more than a fad yet.

Any of you tried vacuums and had good results?

PS: Why can't you do them with air in your lungs?
