What is the best tasting Whey protein brand and flavor?

I'm thinking about buying some new whey, and I am just curious as to what everyone's favorite brand and flavor whey is?

Any opinions are appreciated.

the general consensus over and over (the subject comes up often):

if you're looking for taste / consistency, and don't mind artificial sweetners, Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey comes up over and over in the threads on this subject (and they are many). Some swear by vanilla, i'm partial to their chocolate.

otherwise, your best bet is to get unflavored whey (True Protein has been recommended to me by several people b/c the proprietor is a straight shooter) and mix it with your own flavors (cocoa & maltodextrin or dextrose would be one possibility).

Mine is Vanilla and Splenda. Brand is a custom protein, so there is no brand except for the company that manufactures the protein itself.

And that is ALL that is in my protein. Its a pure CFM Whey Isolate with Splenda and Vanilla flavoring and THAT IS IT. The only other thing in there as an extra is Aminogen. No fillers no creatine no carbs no vitamins, no anything but what I listed.

Optimum Nutrition Natural Whey chocolate. This one tasts pretty good, I drink it with water and nothing else, its perfect. Although I go for the cheapest price, not taste.

whey is gross, thats all, one way or another you're just downing it with as little bit of it touching your tongue.

my friend swears by vanilla, it's the only one i tried.

Beverly International Muscle Provider (Chocolate)

It's by far the best tasting protein powder out there. It tastes like it should be a sugar-loaded kids chocolate drink but it's anything but.

I'm going to have to say True Protein beats all these. It's so much more refined and clean tasting than anything else out there. Plus it's cheaper than if you buy any of this stuff in a store.

I've taken the Optimum Nutrition Vanilla and it taste cool but by the time I hit the bottom of the jug it started to taste bad. By the way, bodybuilding.com has the best prices bar none.

Truth is,if you eat six smaller sized protein based meals a day,evenly spread out,you don't need any of those protein powders. You can be amazed at what you can do naturally as long as you put your heart into your lifting and dieting.
