What is social status in modern society?

Human beings existed for the majority of our history in foraging tribes, hunting animals and gathering plant food. We were nomadic. These societies were very egalitarian.

Then, we domesticated plants and animals and became settled. Soon, we built great societies and civilizations. Social status was clear. There was a king, soldiers, priests, peasant farmers, a merchant class, etc.

In areas such as India, a caste system developed, so a person's rank in society is extremely clear.

Medieval Europe developed a feudal system, where the king would grant land to lords in exchange for service, while peasants and serfs owned no land and worked the fields. Similar systems existed in other places such as Japan.

Perhaps a person's social status was their job? Perhaps it still is?

Eventually, though... Societies democratized. Now, all citizens were equal. However, there were still those who owned land and those who didn't. There were those who are wealthy and those who are not. So perhaps not much has changed.

However, one thing has certainly changed. Throughout the entire history of our species, females rarely had any social status. Now it seems like they all do.

What are your thoughts on social status? It is one component of LMS (looks, money, status) so I think it's worth mentioning. I think it is closely related to, but not exactly the same as, having money. Because a rich guy can still have no friends, sit at home all day, and not know how to talk to people.

In a corporation, the CEO, management.

In church, pastors.

In groups, the group organizer.

In the professional class, partners, heads of departments.

In the middle class, the professional class.

In the lower class, thugs, bartenders, club owners.

In society, anyone famous.

Well how the hell do I gain any kind of social status that's gonna get me ***** for free?

I'm a self-employed businessman who might spend/waste money on an exotic car soon.

I feel like the only way a girl would have sex with me is if I paid her, or if she felt sorry for me. And I don't know why this is. I don't know what I'm missing.

It is all about social media these days and instagram followers, hot girls succeed on it and so do popular guys.

You know, most girls these days are slvts. It shouldn't be that difficult. Most barriers guys put up are in their minds. Even if you're a hard luck case, if you can put yourself into social situations where there are a lot of girls, you can get lucky. Maybe you won't get the HB9, but it doesn't sound like you should be that picky. Not to start out with, anyway.

As someone who frequents bars, they sure get a lot of attention.

Capitalists- Mark Zuckerberg, Mark. Cuban, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet

Bourgeoisie- Wealthy Business owners but not on the same level as Capitalists. Your local franchise owners, local means of production,

Petty Bourgeoisie- biggest class here in the states. Can range from a professional sports player to a CEO to an entry level white collar analyst to small business owners. The common theme is that these people do not own anything or aren't wealthy enough to upgrade in class.

Proletariate- The working poor lol. Really doesn't exist in America anymore. Exists only in developing or impoverished countries like China and Brazil.

I believe at à hierachy level = who produces the Wealth and own it

Among that "class or same level" the one with more power/social success.

If we all are égal, it means we all back to the cavern age... the brutal short natural stage of Hobbes.

It means the "best" in his function is the leader thus the higher status of his group and the group who is on top is the one that "own the ressources to production"
