"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I am going afer a girl whose interest level I would say is about 60%.

I called her up to go to the movies for the next day and she hesitates and makes a lame excuse that she is going out with her girlfriend who she already hangs out with 3-4 times a week. I said fine "call me if you want to go see Transformers tomorrow" Just saying this to be nice but I had a gut feeling she didn't want to go.

Next day I wasn't going to sit around and wait for her answer so I called up a buddy and made plans with him. This girl then text messages me at 5 pm and says that she has now a family dinner to go to and if we could go catch the late movie. Or can she take a "raincheck" I wanted to shoot back "what about your friend that you need to hang out with?" but I didn't.

I just text messaged her back and said I am going out with someone so she will have to take a raincheck. I am going to stop calling this girl up cuz she is so wishy washy everytime I call her up, but what I did, was that rude or I could have been more polite about it.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

i like your style man. I might've caved and gone with her, but you in fact did the right thing. Don't accept wishy-washy behavior.

She's a flaky azz girl. Flakiness means that you are not that important to them, they don't respect your time(For some girls they make plans with a guy and in their minds it is just an option, not an obligation. If they have three things to choose from that night and one is more important than going out with you, including washing their hair or just being "tired", they'll flake on you).Put it this way, if she had a date with Brad Pitt, she'd have found a way to go. I don't put up with flakiness from ANYONE. Neither should you. Shut her out for a bit to punish her. Make it clear that when you make a plan, your time is valuable and you're not into this wishy-washy bullsh*t.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
