In social animals, the alpha male or alpha female is the individual in the community whom the others follow and defer to. Where one male and one female fulfill this role, they are referred to as the alpha pair.
Chimpanzees show deference to the alpha of the community by ritualised gestures such as bowing, allowing the alpha to walk first in a procession, or standing aside when the alpha challenges. Canines also show deference to the alpha pair in their pack, by allowing them to be the first to eat and, usually, the only pair to mate; wolves are a good example of this.
The status of the alpha is generally achieved by means of superior physical prowess. However, in certain highly social species such as the bonobo, a contender can use more indirect methods, such as political alliances, to oust the ruling alpha and take his/her place.
In humans, the alpha male often refers to a man who is powerful or high on the social ladder, similar to hegemonic masculinity. In Western cultures, the term is sometimes pejorative and describes a man who is overly masculine and should be feared.

In the power hierarchy of the animal group, two other roles are also defined and given names. First, the Beta male which is the contender, subservient to the alpha, but only after testing. The betas act as second in command and can be either dethroned alphas or future alphas if they persist in challenging the alpha. The term Omega male (ω-male) is an antonym often used in a deprecating or self deprecating manner to refer to males at the bottom of the social hierarchy. An omega male will be subservient to both the alpha and the beta males.
Now what alpha male means in the context of the forum is more that you are a leader. you make the decisions you make the moves. You don't wait for some ones approval, you aren't looking for it. Where as a beta or omega is some one who is looking for approval and cares greatly about what others think.

Alpha male = leader of the men. Being is alpha is good thing for ur sex life but realize that not all can be alpha. And the alpha status depends of course of the situation. In some group there might be someone even more alpha than u. It's good to study this alpha concept, it gives u great insights of what is the best behavior for men. Implementing the whole of the alpha concept may take years of hard work if you are not gifted with some natural charisma, verbal skills, good genes->big body/good looks/muscles/physically skilled/mentally fast. These are all skills which Alpha can use to lead.
Note: u don't have to be alpha male to get girls. Basically being comfortable around other guys and vibing with them well is enough. U don't have to be the leader.

Here is my model how to become (more) alpha:
- First to be more alpha u should copy their body language. Take up more space, assume the most relaxed position & that stuff. Then relax.
- Join a gym. This builds ur physical aspect to fit into this alpha concept. Have muscles and don't be fat.
- Take a competitive sport. Kickboxing, thaiboxing, boxing or such. U must know how to fight both verbally and physically. U must feel that u can take any guy down if they start with u. This also makes u more aggressive but not in a bad way. U can take action easier. Competing against other guys and trying to win is part of alpha male, live with it if this is what u want.
- Learn how to dress well. Bad dressing and u are far from alpha. Comb ur hair up. Just do it
- Maintain ur area of focus. Where ur focus is, there should be also other's focus. So, never glance around or do any stupid beta behavior. Check out the good chicks of course. Turn ur head slow.. Don't be disturbed easily. Learn how to be the most situationally relevant person of the group. Good SitRel makes u fast the most alpha verbally. This skill takes some time to cultivate but is worth it.
- Be ****y & funny around other guys. Yeah, ok, maybe learn some verbal skills if u happen to lack them. Alpha male can easily be the center of the attention. Talk others about ur martial art hobbies or gym exercises. Hell, talk about any manly subject (cars, girls, army..) Playfully tease other guys but maintain respect. Have a good voice and be loud enough. If u can't hear what someone said don't ask it. In fact, don't ask any questions. Just make statements. Brag brag brag! (Brag with your cool stories, not directly!)
- Be ****y & funny & sexual around girls. Have a girlfriend and some girls as friends. Alpha male always gets sex. If u can't get a girl u will soon loose all respect ur guys have for u. Note: if u can't get a girl then forget being alpha and focus on ur social skills instead. After u can vibe well with anyone then u can start climbing the social ladder and also lead other men (be real alpha male).
