backbreaker
Master Don Juan
This coming from someone who litarlly, has made his living off the internet.
the internet is in general I believe, a detriment to happiness. Look at people who aren't online and people who are, and the people who aren't, are generally happier.
I deal with a lot of people in recovery and a lot of them you will be suprised at how non tech they are. Not stupid. they have jobs, even jobs that require thought, but I mean, we take for granted that "everyone" is plugged in like we are and they aren't.
For the most part, these guys are happy. Go to work, come home, watch some basketball, go over a friends house shoot the ****, come home watch something on HBO, go to sleep. Every once in a while go out and talk to some girls.
Funny thing happened a few days ago a guy I know who got out of jail like, 5 months ago has been working and and he has been putting money back so he can buy himself an iphone. He wanted an iphone beucase everyone else has one. So he gets him an iphone about 3 weeks ago and the dude just disappears lol. I thought he relapsed. He didn't he was just at home stuck on Facebook. He figured out what facebook was and became hooked. About 2 days ago he sold the iphone and told me "man **** that ****, that **** ain't right waste too much time on that ****"
the internet makes you think the only way to be happy is to **** 10 models and drive 10 beamers and that's not true. the internet is one giant pissing contest where no one can win.
I have to have balance. I work online and as much as I don't like the internet, I have to put food on the table and I have a standard of living. But you dont' catch me posting as much as I used to beucase I don't bet from the house anymore I go tot he track now like it's supposed to be done and you know what, it's fun again doing it that way. get out the damn house. I work online but i don't live online anymore. I spend time with the family and go see friends and watch movies and life is good. I can watch a sports show without having to login to a forum and post in a game thread and get so caught up in what everyone else is saying miss the entire ****ing game.
I think if most guys really looked at it they would see the internet does more harm in their life than good in their lives.
