The ban expired in 2004. The gun nuts will not let it be put back in place, they think the democrats are coming to take their guns.

I know this is off topic a bit but what do you guys think of pellet guns? I'm thinking of buying a submachine pellet gun cause its a replica of the ALIENS: pulse rife... it also happens to rapid fire pellets, it likely won't kill someone but I imagine it will stop a home intruder. I've take a pellet to the leg in highschool, while wearing baggy jeans and it was more than enough to put me on the ground in pain.

I remember being shot by one of those as a kid. Definitely no joke. Still quite dangerous if you have good aim.

Well, they aren't available to any whacko on the internet. There are strict laws in place that prevent "whachos" from buying a gun. You have to pass a background check before you can buy any gun. It is illegal for anyone with mental health problems or anyone with an alcoholic/drug history to purchase a firearm.

Bottom line is, guns save lives. Only tyrants, despots and their boot-lickers want to ban them. None of your avoidance, anger, guilt, shame or fallacy based arguments can change those facts.

I went to the UK for awhile where they have banned guns. Things are pretty civil. They don't get reports like this:
