"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

What does this mean? 'Out of $$'

Hi. I am very confused as to what this means. Here is an example:

A girl (status (friend/gf unkown.. have gone out 2 times prior)), asks a guy on Monday to go out to dinner on Tuesday. She says she will let him know for sure if she can go on Tuesday morning. She might have to work and she doesn't know yet. Tuesday morning comes, and she leaves a message since the guy isn't home. The message is basically: "I can't go out. Sorry. The funds ($$) are running short and I cannot spend any $$. Have a nice day. Sorry again."

The female in this scenario is a starving college student who has a job, but only gets maybe 10 hours a week.

The guy is very confused. Is the girl wanting the guy to offer to pay for the dinner? Is the girl actually out of $$? Does the girl just not want to do something with the guy (odd as she proposed the dinner)? Did something else come up (doubtful)?

The guy is doing fine in the $$ and doesn't mind paying.. but doesn't know what he should do.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I guess sometimes the extremely obvious solution is not so obvious when it comes to evil women. Thanks for the suggestion.. even though I may still offer to pay as I have to eat :D That's probably not the DJ way to go though. I will stew on this for a bit. *stews*

Hahahaha It didn't sound as harsh as I typed it, I guess. I see you're a senior DJ but I don't know if I agree on this one. I mean, she has initiated the last couple conversations we have had (online).. and she ASKED ME to go to dinner? Why would you ask someone to go to dinner then cancel?

I'm going to call and offer to pay in a few minutes so please let me know asap if that's a terrible-horrible-awful-AFC move to pull... :)

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I thought that's what she actually said... and i wasn't aware that she was actually showing interest in you.

Well i believe mind over matter already told you what you should do.

But if you insist on being Capt. Save-a-h0...

Let us know what happens.

We had a good dinner. Decent convo. I asked her to come see my place - she obliged. We talked/watched random movie clips/listened to music/nerf ball for a few hours. Decent amounts of kino (initiated by both of us). I feel good about it.. still unsure about the LJBF or BF thing... but that's my own fault I guess. Haha. Her 'possible BF' occasionally comes up and she mentions him by name.. this screws me up. They very well could just be friends.. crraaaazy. :woo: Overall, though, I feel real good about the night and I'm glad I called. :D The one regret I have (same godda*mn regret I have had all of the 3 times we have gone out) - is that I did not close with a hug. :(

The first time out I forgave myself (even though it was my best shot for a closing hug). The 2nd time was an awkward car dropoff. This 3rd time... the opportunity was there.. but I would've had to grab her since I held the door open for her and she just walked out to her car. Damn my feeble closing skills !

haha. dude, breaking through this chivalrous-but-not-overtly sexual barrier is not easy. You have to psych yourself up in some instances. In others, it will just work out. remember, SHE is not completely clueless. She is expecting you to make a move, and she more than likely wouldn't mind at all if you made a move.

We men are wretched beasts, but women are more wretched still.

A man can always understand another man. The answer is always obvious. With women, it is not so. What do you have so be worried about? At least you will KNOW, once and for all, where you stand. Probably the most debilitating, confidence-undermining, most-likely-to-make-you-put-a-bullet-through-your-head part of dating is not knowing. Believe me, you will save yourself an a$$load of worry if you just ratchet up the kino enough so that you know what is going on. good luck man. :)

Man you've payed for this girl's dinner 3 times already, and you haven't even gotten a hug?!?

Most guys expect to get layed by the 3rd date... and here you are trying to get a hug.
You know a prostitute would be a lot cheaper.

20 bucks for a blow... versus 3x60=180 dollars for a hug that you haven't even gotten yet.

Here's what i want you to do:
- Grab your balls, and make a move on this girl. Don't be afraid to act sexual. Right now you're going straight into friends zone if you're not there already.
The worst thing that can happen is you'll realize that she's not interested in you and you'll save yourself a lot of money.

- Stop paying for her dinners!! Take her to some place cheap and fun.
Ideas: Mini Golf, Pool, Bowling, hell even a movie. Stop wasting your money on this chick, and spend it on yourself.

I hope you learned your lesson after being a sucka for so long.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
