What does it mean when a girl insults you?

Yesterday a buddy of mine told me this girl, who I have talked to on many occasions and have hung out with recently, said I looked like a half-man, half-goat (WTF? what does this mean?). This caught me completely off-guard, I've never really heard anyone say something like this about me before. Obviously, I tried to play if off, but I couldn't help but become self-conscious later on as I thought about it some more. My question is why would she say this? She told this to 2 of my roommates, so of course it will get back to me, and we had talked just awhile ago about getting a big group and going on spring break together. I have messed around with some of the girls in her "group", so could she be trying to get my attention? Am I blowing this way out of proportion, and she just thinks I'm ugly? If that is true, how do I respond to this? I thought about not talking to her or insulting her in front of a bunch of people, but that seems immature. As you can tell, I am totally confused about what to do in this situation, any input would be appreciated.

If a girl insults you, then that means she doesn't like you, but not for peersonal reasons since she don't know you. Hos are crude today and have no tact!

What did your friends say to her? Don't say aything to her, if anything tell your friend that she looks like a 'wh@re' and tell them to tell her you said so. You are more correct in your assessment of her then her 'goat' assessment of you - at least, I hope this is the case!

There are mythological creatures associated with half goat/half man persona -- they are 'satyr', 'fauns', and 'pan'....known for their lechery - excessive indulgence in sexual activity.

Maybe she was complimenting you after all!

Why don't you go and tell her that your middle name is 'satyr' and that you are known for your lechery and she best beware before she becomes one of your victims!

I'm not sure what my friends said to her, knowing them they probably laughed so they could try and get on her. So you think I should just ignore her and not talk to her? I go to college in a small town so I will see her frequently and I'm sure she will come up and try to talk to me. I'm really not sure what the right thing to do is in this situation. I want to just cut her off, but then it will be obvious and I think I would look weak and self-conscious.

No I don't have a goatee, I really know how she come up w/ me being "goatish" LOL.

Anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you deal w/ this? How would a true DJ handle this *****?

A few comments about her appearance etc should put her in place.

If a girl says that to you then you need to put her in her place and not put up with that bullsh*t.

And to those who say "well she likes you" ha...ha..ha..
not always.....

I had a former friend (Ryan Dye) who was spit on by different girls on two different occasions.

Did they like him? Hmm...not really, they rallied their guy friends up to beat his a$$ and this was all unprovoked behavior on the women's part.

He got them back by spitting on them and running thru the girl's locker room and taking their clothes!

Gutsy mofo' he was....

I should also mention he started p!ssing on them as he went by. Needless to say he was hunted by 2 different gangs and his life was a living hell throughout high school.

He joined the Army and later became a paratrooper who was known to "squirrel" little kids in the face...

A real sicko this guy is.
