This case is a bit disingenuous.

Since this guy gave his sperm to a woman without a legal contract of sperm donation, and put his name on the birth certificate, it was the same as if instead of masturbaating into a cup and giving to her to insert into her womb, he simply did it the natural way. Then he went on and carried on as a father figure (to some extent.)

I would not pay anything, and would put the lawyers to contest it in all possible ways.
And how come there would be child support for a kid who is already 18 ? That's when you say goodbye to child support.

Nassau County Family Court judge Ellen Greenberg ruled Nov. 16 against a paternity test, saying it would have a traumatic effect on the child.

I would have one anyway, and put the case one the newspapers and all midia that would listen to the story.

The fact that isn't accept in court would have more impact. Of course would be the case that the child isn't mine, which we don't know in this case.

This case is tyranny. The female judge refused him his right to legally establish his paternity. HE is also being attacked financially for his good deed 18 years ago.

He is now in the position of having to defend himself against the horror of a court case in which he has to defend himself for doing NOTHING wrong.
THis is a classic case where the men's groups should be rallied behind the defendant to expose this outrage for the scumbag money grab that it it..

Never trust what a woman says. Get it in writing. I had a girl ask me for my sperm, she wants a baby and promised me I wouldn't have to pay child support. Do you really think I'm going to fall for that shiit? I told her if she paid me $5k, paid my lawyer fees and signed a contract stating I would bear no legal responsibility, then I was all for it. Guess what..she never mentioned it again.

SXS, is in Brazil. the laws there regarding child support is a bit different. From what I understand, the father is in most case the primary custodian of a child in the event of a divorce. I may be wrong.

No, the father isn't the primary, but you can fight for equal custody. That does not interest most fathers, but...
