"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I'm down spirited, but don't want to get in to one of those repetitive "I'm fvcked" threads. Instead, I think it'd be great for me and others, to know how you get your spirits up when feeling down.

Maybe me or anyone else can do the same thing, and rock on!

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Hey SamePendo!

Hopefully this cheers you up! :moon:

Besides that, when I am down, sometimes I just let myself be. I have down days, where I just want to be alone, and I am moody. I drive, listen to sad or moody music, and just kind of BE.

It helps the spirit, actually.

Or you can get active, run errands, clean something up, exercize, or any kind of fast activity that gets your adrenaline pumping.

Friends.

And then there is always alcohol and dancing. I can always fake myself out with that combo.

Besides that though, on days when I am just feeling down, I don't try to force it away, because that usually just makes it worse. Want me to send you a Sad CD? :)

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I usually read. Mostly books dealing with wisdom. Lately it's been a lot of political books. It helps me see the bigger picture and get back on track.

When I get really down I watch LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring.

There's so much heart and soul in that movie its almost impossible to stay down after watching it.

That or I'll listen to some good songs.

nothing beats an uplifting film when im feeling a bit down.

good ones are -
eurotrip(funny and reminds me ive got the whole world to see)
Any comedy really also stand up comedy
the pursuit of happyness (hella inspirational)
fight club (ditto)
the list is seemingly endless.

Reading and studying politics and history is another handy tip, but only if you've got a political or historical figure you admire.

Hitting the punchbag is also good.

Self help books are generally crap though.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

The newest Brand New CD is pretty moody. Start there, if you like that kind of music. I got sad songs from every genre! Whats your type?
I like all types really. From Elton John to Coldplay. Vocal trance and electronica too especially (what I listen to mostly). Not really hip-hop/r&b at all these days.

This helps you to pretend you're a woman giving men advice.

Another piece of the puzzle falls into place.

Most on here must be Emo Kids. I swear I wonder how any of you can get anywhere in life. Let me guess, Tiffany didn't smile at you when you were in class today. Grow up.

This is you.

You have nothing to contribute here. Your pessimistic outlook on life clearly says a lot about you. Go cry somewhere else. We're done hearing it :)

Back in the day I used to think something is wrong with me when I'm down, take things personally. Those were times that I really hated myself..

Things changed, learning the game proven to be the most valuable asset to me. I hardly ever get down, and when I do it's nothing personal.. I sort of let myself enjoy being where I am, down, or whatever.

Just the other day I got drunk and fell really badly, twice, brucing my knee, elbow, and other parts of my body. I came home, met a hommie on my way up, had a few with him, then brushed my teeth and went to bed. In the morning I eventually waked up, wiped off blood, and enjoyed doing nothing quetly for half the day. That's as worst as it gets for me, I simply don't get down.

The real difference you looking for, I think, is loosing yourself in the moment, in everything you do. You probably taking life seriously. Once you adopt the playarish attitude you beging to live your life in Too $hort rap song, where real things mean real businessness, where facts makes sense to you and men like you but make the women and chumps giggle.

Learning game is one thing, do it, check out link in my signature. Learning to amog is another thing. It's part of the game, and it makes you understand things, take control, and have fun. So learn the game, and learn to amog. Remember, being down and crying about it is for kids that throw tantrums, who don't know better. Because they never learned better.

there are so many things that one can do to lift their spirits.
you can exercise, run, jog, walk, ride a bike, lift some weights, swim, hike, climb a mountain, do sit ups, learn yoga.
you can watch a good movie or listen to some good feeling tunes. when i need a happy mood lift, the oldies make me shake!
plan a trip.
you can read a book, write a book, draw or paint or make something of clay.
build something or REBUILD something.
become spiritual, whether it be a christian, or just like an indian with mother earth.
recycle.
send care packages to people you don't know.
become a humanitarian.
write a letter for a good cause, or write a letter to a service man who puts his life on the line to protect everyone's freedoms that were fought for and are protected by the constitution.

i believe that you must find something to occupy your mind, your heart and your soul at all times. some people stick with one hobby all the time because they have a passion for it (bodybuilding or rebuilding cars) and that is fine. others of us, need a change of pace and find all sorts of things interesting, and therefore need different outlets here and there, which is fine too.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
