You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Maximus Rex said:I don't know what's worse, a muthaf*cker who's been on this site for damn near four years, and doesn't know how to handle this situation or the dudes who took time out of their lives to answer it.
It's bad enough when there's newbies asking dumb ass questions, but guys who have been on here longer than three months asking some asinine bullsh*t simply insulting to a person's intelligence.
Nothing. Literally.pyros said:what do you usually do in a situation like this?
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
TheMonkeyKing said:Soft next until she initates:
1) You've already been on a date; it's not like she doesn't know who you are.
2) As has been said, anything other than yes (or no, but with counter-offer) within 36-48hrs, is a 'no, not at the moment'.
3) She studies medicine. She's busy (genuinely, unlike most other chicks). And if she becomes a doctor, that is not going to change; it's going to get worse. Wanna be dating a chick who works 12-18hr days, nights, weekends, shifts? I know I don't.
To paraphrase an old cliché, it's probably very little to do with you, more to do with her.
Unrelated (or possibly related), women of 2014 know all about guys studying up on "game." They know about sites like SoSuave. They know what a PUA is and know exactly what the signs and symptoms of a PUA are.pyros said:I just said:
me: "hey HB, how was your weekend? I just went to X place and it is pretty cool! We should go either tomorrow or thursday to X place cause they have excellent snacks."
I didn't see this post before I replied. I see that you are habitually using lines instead of responding naturally.pyros said:I will text her tomorrow with this reply I got from this forum:
me: "Hi HB, blah blah. Listen, you seem too busy now, just let me know when you're free to hang out. take care."
And end of story unless she wants to meet.
Thought I was clear but i will rephrase...pyros said:sorry Heisenberg but...what is your point?
I did not do any copy paste bro.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
Why? You already know:pyros said:And end of story unless she wants to meet.
