"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I've recently met this amazing girl. We get on fantastically well. Even by her own admission, we 'clicked', and I feel like I've known her for years, and she feels the same, despite having only met each other a couple of weeks ago. I have not had that kind of instant connection with someone for a long time.

I'm not sure how much she reciprocates my feelings. I know she likes me, but I think only as a friend right now. She is very open with me, and has touched me casually on a few occassions during conversation, but I think she just might be the kind of person who does that with a lot of people. God that drives me nuts when she does that though!

I am finding it difficult remaining just friends with her, and would love to tell her how I feel. However, she does have a boyfriend (a long term one) and I am hesitant to jump straight in there and scare her off. She means a great deal to me. She's told me that she's often a poor judge of character and has had several experiences in the past with people who've turned out to be *******s. I wouldn't want to validate that once more. It would be ideal if I could slowly win her over without her really knowing what I was doing until she's crazy about me, but that's probably the best ever example of 'easier said than done'!!

If anyone can offer me some advice here, I would be most grateful. This whole thing is slowly driving me crazy, and I'm at a loss as to what my next move should be...

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Hi and welcome to the boards. I'm just going to make this quick. You should move and and NEXT her. Why? Dude, she has a boyfriend. From reading your post you are her friend. From the way it looks it likely won't go anywhere. I know you like her a lot and you hope, key word hope that she does too. You basically are secretly hoping that she may leave her boyfriend for you. NEXT her man and just move on.

Read the DJ Bible and read it MANY MANY TIMES.

You do not fuly understand it the first time around! This is covered in the bible as it is a very common problem to come by.

Read through, you are not the only one who has ever experienced this.

Go out and meet more girls, then you will realize that this one is not that special.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

You're all right, I know it. I am an idiot, and I do realise I have A LOT to learn. I know why I'm being like this, given my current 'life position' right now. I think I knew I would get this response, I just needed to SEE it with my own eyes. Thanks.

Moving on does not have to mean discounting the possibility of a relationship later on when her situation changes. Just keep her on the back burner and scope out other chicks. Your absence may even purk up her interest level in you, but this should not be the goal behind getting more contacts. You are infatuated and smitten. That is a perfectly natural condition in your situation, so don't feel guilty about it. Just accept it and soldier on, read some DJ tips again, get your mind back into focus. Remember that infatuation is not love. It can be overcome. You can do it.
