"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Long story short here. Saw a profile of a woman I really liked, and was attracted to on POF. I'm a 28 year old male and she's 24. I don't think she was on POF that long. Maybe two or three weeks. Now, I sent her my first message on the 26 of July. Then she responded to my suprise that sameday. Sent another message, and then she responded. The third message, she didn't respond. On that weekend close to when I closed my pof account, the next day she closed hers.

After a while, I deleted my POF account. Wanted to try real life for a while. I sent this girl via pof a message saying I'm closing my account and would like to talk to her more. I left my gmail in their. Two days later she emails me saying "she's sorry she couldn't reach me before I deleted my account, but was glad to have my contact info." Sent a second message and she responded "everything is going fine. Thanks for responding. Hope I didn't interrupt anything." A day later I just asked via my gmail email to her yahoo email account if she would like to talk on the phone if she was comfortable or to continue to talk through email. I sent his Monday and have heard nothing back. Do I give it a couple more days or do I just leave her alone and have her email me? Thanks for any advice here.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Okay good point Evan. So I guess just leave her alone then until she emails me? Thanks again...

This was your first problem. If you're online dating, you can't get all into a chick before you've even met. When I'm seriously hitting the POF/OKC, I send out 30-40 initial emails per day on each site! I don't even look at a chick's profile for more than 5 seconds.

Then, if they respond (and maybe 10-20% of them do), I look at them a little more closely. I do some heavy screening. If they pass, I set up a date near their place. If we have fun on the date and they put out and the sex is good, ONLY THEN do I really decide whether I "like" them. If they don't put out or the sex is bad or they're no fun, then I dump them after that date and move on to the next one.

Over the decade or so I've been doing online dating off and on, I have a lay rate of about 1-2%. That is, of each 100 initial emails I send, I bone 1-2 girls.

See the difference? I treat women as a fungible commodity until they're on my d*ck and it's good. I don't really care one whit about them until that point. You're losing control of your emotions way too early in the process.

In my opinion this is the only way to be "successful" at online dating. Guys who pick and choose and send one email here and there and wait for women to contact them... they don't last.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Dear Ladies Man,
I think you met one of those pathetic creatures who infest dating sites.....They get their jollies from regular inputs of ego enhancement when they open their mail every morning...Like any other drug it is addictive...you have seen the essential waste of time it can be and pulled out...ergo you are no more use to this Princess.
