Can't really tell, but it looks like 4 on top, 3 on sides. Maybe that's just because of the bad lighting.

Maybe a three. When I use a four I still have bangs and can spike my hair up a litte. That looks a little shorter.

its just a #3 or smaller buzz cut, but don't take magazine photos too seroiusly because there is a LOT of photo manipulation involved, especially with tom cruise.
