This seems true, maybe just numbers are going to be a little bit different: not 40 but rather 100 or 200. Nevertheless you are right about the concept.

The tacit problem is who would want a that ugly girl who answer "Yes, I do"?? She is going to be really deperate therefore really ugly.

And the actual questio here is "Why can't I get a _quality_ girlfriend? We tend to omit "quality", since though it is the most essential part of the question.
 

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
