"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

*I know this is a lot to read, but I'm trying to be as specific as possible on the key elements to get as accurate of an analysis as possible. please read*

There is this extremely beautiful girl who keeps to herself a lot at school. she doesn't approach guys that much and she seemed sort of quiet.

We had 3 classes together last semester and she did come over to talk a few times but other than that we didn't speak much.

Right after Christmas, the second week of school, I saw her down the hall, we started talking and then we went to the library together in one of those isolated rooms for like 2 hours and she just talked about her life and we got to know each other. She brought up many things, but she never said she had a boyfriend

We have one class together on Fridays and ever since that day she would come and sit beside me in class. She would pay attention and take her notes religiously but then i decided to increase my interest level in her, and so i would i would make her laugh in class and we would exchange Kino. This went on for like 3 weeks.

The week after, i asked her how her weekend went and she said "I forget..." I sensed there was something she did not want me to know so i kept asking her in a joking way. then she said "my boyfriend and i got in a fight". I told her that i found it odd that she had never mentioned him after all the time we had spent together, but i did not let it phase me. She said, "yeh i know its weird that i didn't mention him.."

The next week, i keep on giving her interest and then she lets me know that her boyfriend is not giving her enough attention and that her relationship is close to ending. I take advantage of this information and i ask her out. She says she was supposed to go to a concert with her boyfriend that night, but now she's free and she's thinking of going out to a club and that if she DOES decide to go out, she will call me. We also make plans to study for next Thursday (this was a Friday)

She never calls but she talks to me on msn Sunday morning. I ask her whats up, she says she went to the concert with her boyfriend. so i ask her how it was and she said, it was ok.

Monday night i get a call from her asking me if i want to study on Tuesday morning. I ask her if its because she cant make it on Thursday, she says no, we can do both. She lives 30 minutes away from university by car and she gets rides from her mom. Both of us have no class on Tuesday and for her to go to school on Tuesday means that she will have to wait for her mom for several hours before she can go back home.

Tuesday happens and i think shes interested. Shes asking me tons of questions about myself, asking me about my family and about my guitar playing. Telling me she finds this aspect of me intriguing and that she loves guitar players. Asking me how the wedding that i went to on Saturday went. I act cool.. i joke around and let her know that she isn't allowing us to do much studying.. Then she asks me in a shy little voice if I went to the wedding with a girl, and i say yes.

She says something about how she and her friends used to imitate the spice girls when they were young. I tell her they were all ugly except for posh. She says "thats the anorexic one, do you like anorexic women"? i say yes in a joking way. she says "is that way "mutual girl friend" doesn't interest you (a mutual friend who hits on me all the time). Then i tell her about how that mutual friend told me she was in love with me last week even though she seemed like she was in a good relationship and extremely in love with her boyfriend. SHE then tells me "sometimes you just meet a guy and you have so much fun with him that you realize things could be way better than they are with your current boyfriend".

then she tells me that she had spotted the dress that she wants to wear for the wedding of her boyfriend's friend this summer. I think WTF! she wanted to dump him on Friday and now she wants to go to a wedding with him this summer????

I tell her, "so you patched things up with him then?" she says, well i told him what bothered me, and he told me what bothered him, and i realized that it was as much my fault if things weren't working out.

then she tells me that she went to a wedding last summer and everyone told her she was the prettiest girl there, and I'm thinking, am i in the friend zone now WTF!??

then she complained about how her boyfriend plays x-box for 3 hours when she visits him and i crack a joke or 2 at his expense..

she tells me her toes are chubby and i tell her i want to see them. she says she'll show them to me if we ever go swimming together. I say "when???"
she says we could go next week..

when studying is over i ask her if she wants to go to this club with my best friend and some other people on Saturday night. She says its her sisters birthday but if possible she might be able to make it. Obviously, she won't go because its her sister's birthday.... but still she seemed like she didn't want to disappoint me.

I need an experienced DJ to analyze this for me. I'm acting confident but in the back of my head i think she probably sees a good guy friend in me, even if i did my best to give her Kino and let her know i was interested even if i knew about her dumbass boyfriend.. So does she want me to steal her from this guy, or is she just playing with my head??

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Sounds like you waited a bit too long to make any kind of huge move, but she also sounds like she's playing around with you.

I would probably just let her go and keep your eye on other girls. You dont have to just drop her altogether but I would no longer invite her anywhere.

I think you lost this one, you became too much of a friend

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

i wish i could drop her altogether but i have this term project to do with her.

perhaps i should have made a move sooner, but she's a tough cookie to crack and it took me a few weeks before i could get her to really open up and feel really comfortable around me. I get the feeling making a move earlier wouldn't have given better results. I think timing of when i met this girl combined with the circumstances with her boyfriend is to blame for this one.
