I'm thinking of moving West. My city criteria is that it have good growth in jobs and wages (and popluation). I prefer a large city, but will accept metro of less than 1m if there is good stuff there. I found a census site that gives breakdowns of m-f ratios by age.

But, what I need to know is the HB ratio.
I'll give you examples:
St. Louis: 1:30 (one out of 30 is really hot.)
New Orleans: 2:10
Washington D.C.: 4:10
L.A: 5:10
Buenos Aires: 5:10
Melbourne: 5:20
Miami: 4:10
Boston (during school year): 7:20
Boston(when school is out): 2:20
These ratios are based on daily encounters while out and about around town: walking the boulevard, driving down the street, in CBD's, at the grocery. True, every town has its share of UGs, but some are worse than others.
Anyone know about Salt Lake City, Denver, Boulder, Reno...??
