"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

ok I posted a thread about this a couple days ago...but the situations getting worse...

i met her a couple weeks ago got her number we talked she seemed pretty interested, we talked a lot the next couple days. anyways i'm away from home for until about mid-late july...... so i dont get to see her...but everytime i go on aim she messages me instantly and its screwing it up because AIM can get awkward and you all know that. since im not on the much i figure what the hell I'll talk to her for a few so you I ask her how shes doin, jus ask questions depending what kind of lead she gives me.. so this morning i wake up and go on and she messages me so im like how'd ya sleep and she starts talking about how she couldnt sleep cuz she was thinking about her ex-bf and where she went wrong..now i know this was an instant sign of going down hill so I was like yeah I know him hes a funny kid then i told her i had to go and put my away up.. i know shes interested by the signs shes been giving me but this is getting fvcked up, what do I do?

keep in mind i wont be back till like mid-late july.

You're moving from the possibility list to the just friends list. I would advise that you stay off AIM and be too "busy" to really see her.

Incorrect.

What happened to you is what we call a test. Meaning what she told you was complete bullsh1t and a test of your response.

Handle that accordingly.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Yeah and mysteriously as things may be escalating in your relationship with her she 'Can't sleep because she kept thinking of fvcking her ex'.

And I mean, we all know how many people can't sleep because they want to fvck someone.

actually he said "kept thinking about her fvcking ex boyfriend" instead of "kept thinking about fvcking her ex boyfriend"

if you have indicators that she likes you though, it may be a test. just chill out though, the word test makes me nervous, and you gotta be charming and relaxed

danno indicators? its an open door as soon as I'm back home..but she is so repetitive and its gets old. its mostly all texting/aim and i keep on telling her txting/aim is for pussies...jus because shes always doing one or another I can't call her because mostly likely i just talked to her via something so if i call her she will start to wonder why i'm calling since I jus talked to her over text/aim which is pvssy sh!t

When girls talk about their boyfriends or ex boyfriends, I immediately start referring to the boy as "tweedle dee". I then proceed to act as if nothing is wrong. As if she has no boyfriend. As if the only guy she desires is ME.

It's effective. This girl recently broke up with her boyfriend and called me not even a day after that and was begging me to hang out. Another girl has had a boyfriend for almost a year, and she constantly talks about wanting me. Whenever the boyfriend issue arises, I make some comment about how I won't let her cheat on her boyfriend, no matter how bad she wants me. The same attitude should be applied with ex boyfriends. When a girl starts rambling on about him, just play it off as if she was talking about how her friend bough cool new shoes, hopefully thats not something youre interested in either.

the fact that she is obsessively trying to communicate with you is an indicator. next time youre on aim, dont respond when she ims you. see if she gets upset that youre not responding, and thats an indicator. basically thats all you got since you cant talk to her in real life.
