Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

We all hate those words. I know I did, "I only see you as a mate", and I felt crushed, angry, frustrated and hopeless, because the guys said there's no escaping the friendship zone right?

No, you can escape it. Now there will be some girls who don't like you no matter what, and the effort it takes to get out....well, you might as well go get another girl. I however, know that sometimes....well, you just don't want another girl.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, to the post. To borrow a phrase from a backbreaker post "the key to escaping the friendship zone, is to change the way she percieves you"

Example

Now, anybody who's read my "warning" post, knows about the girl who treated me like a chump, (mainly because I let her btw). Now to re-iterate, I text this girl everyday, talked to her at every opportunity...and fell out with her at every opporunity. After we fell out the last time, it transpired that she "liked" my best friend, and damn I was crushed.....sent her aload of soppy text messages about "hating coming second". She went to Ibiza, and for all I know got laid over and over, but I was determined to escape the "I just don't fancy you".

The first thing you have to do, is figure out how she percieves you. I figured I was being "Mr. Dj" because she loved being around me, and I offered her an amazing time. Lay material right? Nope. Although I offered her an amazing time, I was just one of the girls to her, not that I recognized it, I was listening to her problems...being a shoulder to cry on. I guess my AFC tenancies were seeping out, and I had no idea, thinking I was playing her. If you act like her friend, then you'll BE her friend!.

So what was I doing wrong? She was the only girl in my life, and I was needy. After she went on holiday, I finally felt I didn't need her, and she didn't run my life. Before she had gone, I had been p!ssy with her and my mate because they liked each other, i was playing the third wheel.

When she got back, she called me, wanting to make up. Now for the second part of the tip, you've got to risk losing her. I told her, sure we could make up, but I didn't need her, I had my own friends. The next time I saw her, I changed my tack. Usually, I'd be angry...not talk to her....be mardy. This time, I was a riot, she hadn't laughed the same amount before ever. She coyly bought up the conversation we'd had, about me not needing her as a mate. This is where I drove it home "No, I don't need you as a mate, I'm only interested in you as a love interest", and told her I wanted to sleep with her. I also ran my hand over her backside, and her pants fell down, and we fooled around, with me telling her I had a massive erection, and making sure she felt it against her when we were messing around.

She sent me a text later, telling me what a blast she'd had. I ignored it, I had other women to see to. Me and my mate were at the cinema, she kept texting him, asking him if I was there. Whereas before Id've cried because she text him not me, I didn't react, realising that I was just pushing them together by reacting. I was busy for the next three weeks, and didn't see/contact her, but when I did....boy, she loved me. That night, I finally got her into bed.

So, the only tip.

1)Change how she percieves you Before I was one of the girls, listening to gossip, getting sad when she dated another guy, being a shoulder to cry on the usual stuff. After I wised up, I realised that I didn't need her, and my needines was a HUGE turnoff, and that I wasn't sexual around her. That all changed with me telling her the only reason I wanted to be around her, was so that she "liked" me. If she didn't, well, that was her loss.

If she's your friend, it's because you're acting like one. If you were a d!ck, she'd hate you, so if you were amazing, why wouldn't she fancy you? People's opinions are changable.

All you gotta do, is figure out what you're doing wrong, and correct it. I was mardy, I became so that if stuff p!ssed me off, it didn't bother me, and therfore didn't ruin my chances. I text her everyday, so I cut that out. I let her know I was interested in her sexually.

I hope all this helps.

Wes.

Disclaimer: As before, this won't work with everygirl, and most arn't worth it. This girl certainly wasn't, but I had to do it for me. In most cases, move on.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

My bed, your girl.
thats very interesting, we should see if people can experiment with this and try to find the differences in relationship between friendship and girlfriend/boyfriend.

it's sort of like a way to analyze what you're doing wrong, because you could be failing, but doing some things right and some wrong, so you have to get an idea of whats bad and whats good for yourself.

most people can't really see themselves and analyze in this way.. I know I'd have trouble, but there are always common do/don't things to look for.

imagine you were her, and as her, add the feeling of her not liking you and you can see what she really thinks and get a better idea of how to change yourself for her better perception of you.

trying to talk to her all of the time/sending "soppy text messages":
shes thinking "I feel sorry for him, but I couldn't love a person like that, I'd only want to be their friend to support them"

thats sympathy and you really don't want that... but

when you start being a man and acting yourself while showing interest in her as a gf instead of a friend, she'll accept and think of you as more of a bf than a friend... however, you are neutral until a move is made.
think of neutral as available, because you're not really her friend are you? you sure don't consider her to be your friend.

nice realization there wes, thats a good one :p

Personally I wouldn't be crushed if I heard those words. I am sure I speak for many Americans as well.

My bed, your girl.
those words completely turn you off.. which sucks

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
