Peak: Yea sometimes, but then I just order a couple hookers.
classic - must tell that to my 90 yr old neighbour couple!
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
This is awesome! How I would like to be minus losing half-of-my-sh1t.Aristippus said:Peak,
How's it going? Just wanted you to know that what you're hearing is pretty normal. People are usually set in their ways and many never question anything. They just accept traditions without asking themselves "Why am I doing this?". Some traditions are useful and good, others are limiting and create slaves or people that are living only 1/10 th of the life they could be enjoying.
My uncle married once about twenty years ago. Before that he had girlfriends and live-in girlfriends. The woman he married was attractive but they divorced and she took him for half of everything he'd worked his whole life to accumulate. They'd only been married for maybe 3 or 4 years TOPS. No more than that. He never remarried but he enjoyed being the consummate bachelor.
He lived comfortably and was good at saving money. He enjoyed being alone and his privacy and he also enjoyed female companionship whenever he wanted it. I think that there were probably a lot of guys his age that would loved to have traded places with him. Men in unhappy marriages who have ZERO freedom. Men who are slaving away to support an ungrateful wife who don't even have freedom to do anything on their free time (because they allowed their balls to be cut off).
Anyway, when he died about 3 or 4 years ago, women came out of the woodwork to his funeral. He was close to 70. I think he was 67. He'd had a heart attack. I'm just telling you about him because he didn't do what everyone else was doing and was pretty happy with his life. And he got to enjoy certain freedoms that most men give up.
Of course, it doesn't surprise me that most of the comments you're hearing are from women. I bet a lot of your male friends secretly wish they were in your position.
  WTF this dude is in mental prison!! Married the wrong woman and just suffers through it!!!Aristippus said:It's unfortunate. I don't see too many guys taking charge of their lives or their women. These men choose slavery because they know nothing else. They're nothing but a shell of their former selves. Actually, this reminds me of a short video I saw on YouTube. It cracked me up!

This is a good post, we must live in the exact same place.PeakIV said:Someone please Explain?
Am I a freak? I have a successful business , own my own home and live alone (got out of a LTR 10 months ago - (bit gun shy, cluster B , you know the score)
Working on myself , happy with myself ,being on my own etc... realised that if you are not happy with yourself love yourself you can't be happy with someone else bla bla bla...
All the people in my street and friends who I know are in relationships either marriages or pretty sad relationships most just bumbling along very co-dependent types. seems like they can't survive without the other.
The thing is everybody keeps saying things to me like...
"What, you live on your own?"
" I can't believe you don't have a girlfriend?"
"why don't you have a girlfriend?"
"what's it like living on your own? you must get really lonely? !!"
WTF is happening out there ? It seems that if you are over 40 and single there must be something wrong with you.
I am 6ft - 12 stone, ( in other words not short or fat) above average looking and believe it or not happy doing my own sh*t.
I refuse to compromise on seeing someone if we don't click or I don't fancy them just to get some sex.....
If and when I meet someone to compliment my life and have fun with then so be it...
I sometimes ask my male friends if they want to do something on the weekend (like play a game of tennis) and they always say il get get back to you because I have to check with the wife or girlfriend!
It seems they can't make a decision for themselves...
Like I said welcome to beta-land....
Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.
Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers. Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.
I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
lol -- you inform us younger men when you figure out the answer to that question.PeakIV said:someone who can compliment my life and to have fun with who is articulate, intelligent, speaks well, beautiful, a who*e in the bedroom and a lady in the kitchen.
