Lately a few people have told me I walk "differently". And I'm wondering if I should change the way I walk or if people just aren't used to someone that doesn't hunch over while walking. Generally when I walk I have my shoulders thrown back and I lead with my hips. I notice most people lead with their chest but to me that doesn't seem to convey confidence.

Sounds like how a girl walks. They swing their hips as they take a step.

I'd say forget what you think about the chest thing not being confident, and give it a try. If people stop commenting on your walk, or point out how you seem so confident, then stick with it.

Nah, I don't really swing my hips. Maybe I'm not explaining it very well. Go watch John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, that's pretty much how I walk.
