"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

This girl is super weird, like too much caffeine type. anytime she sees anyone she knows, she's super enthusiastic and always keeps a smile. She loves to talk and goes in depth about anything in discussion. Back when i was afc, i knew this girl, i hung out with her a couple times. and she'd always ask favors of me which i did. around after finding this site, i kinda stopped talking to her. as when she called up after the summer asking for favors, i rejected them saying i was busy.

Several times this term i saw her in the lab, she didnt say anything to me, neither did i.

1 day ago, she sees me exiting the lunchroom and says "hey screwit" i thought what the heck, went over to say hi. smacked her on the shoulder, she shoved me back... playfully .she was iwth a friend, and i chatted for a min or 2 and left.

Then today im in the lunchroom eating, she walks over and sits next to me. I said "are you stalking me?"
Then we start chatting about stuff, blabbered about how she wants to find a new job and mentioning something about her having no life etc. she mentioned something about me being different than i used to be. She was blabbering about something and i wasnt listening much as i had to get to class, "look i'd love to stay and chat, but i've gotta get to class."
when i left, she had almost a sad look on her face as she took our her cellphone to play with.

back in my afc days, i figured she put me into the friends zone cause i was a nice guy. But now i dont know what she wants from me. she still "believes" we're good friends and mentions about hanging out. wants a friendship again or ssome other ****?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

she mentioned something about me being different than i used to be.
This is actually a good sign. She's noticing a change in you, and she likes it.

Keep teasing the 5hit out of her, but don't get yourself emotionally blinded because of her. Use her as practice for your DJ skills. You've been friends with her for a long time, correct? Let her break that barrier and ask you out on a date (or tells you how she feels about you). Until and unless she does this, don't put any effort into scoring a date with her.

Hang out with her if you want, but do it in your spare time.

specifically what she said was "your different, u smile more now compared to that semester in class i knew you, you were more shy."

i did some ball busting today at the least (she mentioned she just got her permit) i said "when u get your license, give me a call so i'll know to get ouf the street." which made me felt good compared to how "nice" i treated her i nthe past.

technically i was friends with her about half a year when we had class together. that was a year ago.

Hang out with her if you want, but do it in your spare time.
technically, her idea of "hanging out" is going out drinking & singing @ a karaoke bar with her friends.

Bro. You really need to take a grammer class. No wonder why you know so much about the lingo on here. You really need to get out more.
