"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

recently, i've been arguing a lot with my girlfriend, for the stupidest things:

1. i drink pretty often and she thinks that i'm on my way to become an alcoholic, while i perfectly know how to handle myself

2. she wants me to wear my hair long, while i prefer it medium-length (it looks afro when it's too long). i just called her to tell her that we can't meet today, since i have to cut my hair and she got mad. i closed the call and she called me immediately after and we peaced out, but it's pretty stressful, though.

3. she's jealous of my female friends and she doesn't approve when i go sleeping over to their place

i don't want to leave her, since we've been together for a year and we love each other a lot, plus we both are really kinky in bed and the sex is great
how can i make her understand that i can handle myself? i mean, i'm not going to become an alcoholic and i'm not gonna cheat on her with my friends!

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

When a couple first starts dating, people focus on the good things and try to impress the other. Once you guys settle in and become more comfortable with eachother people start nit picking at faults.

If your unhappy about the way shes treating you tell her. you guys have been going out for a year, so hopefully you can communicate to her what your thoughts are about her jealousy and hair etc., and shell respect that.

If not...it may be time to end it.

Perhaps you should try being a bit more open-minded, Jay-X.

Turn the situation around. Would you allow your girl to spend the night over your male friends home?

Come on now.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

He lives in Italy, one of my friends who used to live in Chile told me that guys there (and many other places in Europe) hold hands / hug etc. I'm guessing that it's a lot more natural in Italy than say here in America.

1) You've mentioned before that you sometimes drink by yourself, all alone, just because you like the feeling. That sounded sketchy to me when you said it and it would be stupid of you to ignore your girlfriend's concerns on the issue.

2) listen to Lik and give me a break here. If you compromise with your girlfriend by agreeing not to sleep at another girl's house, it won't make you weak or less of a man. it would make you reasonable, unless you're honestly willing to let her spend the night with other guys.

I agree with your girl on the 1st & 3rd points. Give it a thought.

1st. italians hug other guys like, after not seeing each other for a long time (after summer holiday for example), not every time we see each other, but hugging friends or acquaintances of the opposite sex is a really normal thing, even when you don't know them well. but i never saw 2 heteros holding hands without joking. just girls do it

2nd. i've quitted drinking by myself, i just drink when i'm at a party or out with my friends, since 2 weeks ago i had a bad liver pain. but she doesn't trust me about me reducing the amount of drinking

3rd. i don't go to their places all by myself, i usually bring some buddies she (my girlfriend) also knows. so she would know if something happened... i would invite her too, if her parents allowed her to sleep with me outside their place
