Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Ok MrRukus, what happened was this... she was at work, got off, and was going to pick her kid up from her mom's and take him over her house, with her sister who lives with her so she can babysit her. She wants in the door, and from what I understand, the kid is crying and her mom is getting mad at her because she isn't being "responsible".. she has a new job that she works at about 12 hours a day and hasn't been able to spend alot of time with her kid.

She told me later she felt bad about going on a date with someone while her kid who she hadn't seen all day is home crying, which I can understand.

The house I orignally followed her to was her mom's, not hers.. her mom babysits the kid durning the day because she doesn't work anymore, and her younger sister lives with her so if she ever does anything at night, she lets her babysit.

Think of it as being flustered in front of a girl you like, and saying something you really don't mean just to get your point across, or saying something without completely thinking it out.

I'm not defending her... but after spending some time with her, and being around women enough in general, her "rainchecking" friday night is the least of my concerns.

Anyway, I woke up today, still bummed yesterday about what happened in the preakness, i am not in the mood to place any wagers. I start watching a little TV and I get a couple of calls from friends and from an ex I dont' want to see. I got a call from this chick and she told me she was cooking and asked me if I wanted to come and watch TV with her. I said I guess, so I went over and and we watched TV for a while. We got the bright idea to go see the De Vinci code at the movies .... great.. well not great, very good movie. We got to talking about religion and politics...she's honestly smarter than what i had her pegged for, but that's beside the point.

Anyway, by now it's about 1am in the morning and she is giving me a back massage. So her younger sister comes in the house, because she is outside with some guys she knows, and she comes in with this guy and everyone has this look on their face. So I introduce myself to the guy, I mean, ****, I don't know him. I don't even know what everyone is quiet for. So he comes in, pretends to use the phone and leaves. So when he leaves, she tells me that this is a guy that she used to talk to about a month ago, but they stopped. Apparantly he just "got back in town" and popped up at her house unnanounced... now the unannounced part I can attest for, becuse we were together the entire day, and I know her phone didn't ring.... But I am not an idiot, nor do I rush to judgement. Although I like kicking it with her, and she is pretty cool and looks great, I am not one to rush into any jugements of any kind. The guy didn't seem to bright, so it really wouldn't suprise me if he did just pop up randomly like that...I had it happen to me before, twice actually. but that goes to show, you just don't pop up over at peoples house randomly at 1 in th emorning, you never know what you might find.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

For all i know i was given away to a better family where i actually had a father in my every day life.

You make it sound like adoption is a bad thing. Hell yea i'd rather have been adopted by a mother/father couple than be raised by a struggling single mom with morality issues and a ****ty job that drops me off so she can go on dates. We have enough kids raised without fathers. Where do you think all the afcs come from?

And were i aborted i wouldn't be around so i wouldn't have the capability to care.
lol, dude you have issues. Step outside of the box.

My mom did an excellent job raising me... by herself. And although she put me FIRST, that I can assure you, she had somewhat of a social life.

Granted, she wansn't a night owl, as a matter of fact, the only times I think she went to clubs is like on Christmas parties and **** like that... but she went on dates from time to time, did stuff like that. She had no problem with dropping me over my grandmom's house for a couple of hours.. hell that's wha tgrandmom's are for.

It was just that, as the same here, any guy you are with, is going to have to understand that you have a son (in this case) that will always come first. Kicking it isn't as important as your child. If I can't find a decent babysitter, **** it, I can't go out. From what I understand, she has been out one time since her son was born.

One girl I... had sex with alot, had two kids, and I could call her and she would be over here at a drop of a dime. That's great for me... but for the kids, that's not a good example.. which aside from the fact that she is crazy, is why I could never take her seriously.. she has no real morals.
