Warm pickups are harder than Cold pickups!

I find that I have much more difficulty with warm pickups than with cold pickups.

Cold pickups are mystery written all over them.
The girl hasn't really formed a weak opinion of you yet.

But I find warm pickups to be much more challenging.
By a warm pickup I mean a girl that you have seen perhaps everyday for the past year or shorter period of time (6 months maybe), at work, at school, or somewhere else on a regular basis but never had the balls to really start a convo with her.

Its like you know her by face, you may even know a little bit about her by listening to her talk to others but you still haven't really "met" each other.
Its sort of awkward going up to her and saying well I'm a Don now and I have the balls to talk to you so lets get aquainted now.

If you've seen her everyday, chances are she's already made an opinion about you, and there's nothing you can do to change it. Cold pickups, now you have a better chance b/c you are providing a first impression.

Yes, as your summary shows, you understand my problem. Can you offer some practice advice in going about handling such a situation? I still want to talk to her and hookup!

If you've been standing awakwardly in the corner drooling I think it might be too late. So, you have nothing to lose.

Occasionally I have used "Hi, are you new? Welcome." Maybe they'll think you're an idiot. Maybe they'll think it's funny. Maybe they'll think you're serious. If they play along it can be fun.
