"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

So been seeing this girl for about 6 months, shes my type and I proper like her. Shes non commital, wants to maintain her independance and "just wants casual". Ok so be it. She has this guy living downstairs with his misses, shes pretty average, he's got potential but they have been together for 15 years so they are LTR as F. I go over one time and they are all having drinks, the girl I like is wearing this hot as hell pair of skintight pink short tights. Im watching her in front of this guy and his girl and thinking there is no way in hell he's not noticing this.

Anyway they break up, I saw this girl on Friday and we see each other about once every two weeks or so. We have fun as usual and i notice the girl is living downstairs but the guy is not, must have moved out. Im in a bar last night and this guy comes up to me, he's a friendly type and tells me I should walk away. I say why, he wont say. Im drunk and he goes off into the carpark. So Im stewing on this, get pissed off and run to the car park and corner him ready to get violent to be honest. He wont say a ****ing word.

Anyway, I look at his facebook this morning and he has her pinned in a thousand photos they must hang out quite a bit. Tell me he isnt working on his own agenda.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
