Why not vote for a mod, people who want to be mods tell they want to be so, and guys vote for them. And Allen has this in mind when choosing them. This way, I hope some of the bs complaining would come to a pre-canned response "Next time vote for someone else".

This should not be a democracy. This is a privately owned forum.

We can provide inputs (in order to motivate or encourage some individuals to appy for it)...but at the end...it should be up to the owner of the site.

Isn't it up to the Mods or Allen anyway? I'm guessing that they already know who they would consider.
