Witnesses said he was heavily armed and entered the college looking for his girlfriend. He reportedly lined up students and opened fire at them. He was said to be a young Asian.

well, it's eather going to be; nobody has guns, or averybody has guns. knowing personaly what kind of damage guns can do....i'm puiry concerned.

I was watching a british series on tv few nights ago and noticed that not even the cops caried guns.....not quiet sure how true that is.

Yea i've seen cops with mp5s in europe, so it seemed a bit odd to me that they wouldn't at least give them a pistol just in case. Then again we have a lot of messed up people her in the states.

Most police carry retractable batons and mace, but no guns. Pretty much every police station has a few guns I think.

Nobody has guns anyway (so few people) they don't need them.

If your into hunting, you should belong to a hunting club, and leave your guns at the club.

I'm glad i live in Canada....I live right accross the border from detroit (one of the top crime citys in US), and the difference is night and day. We get 2-3 murders a year, while they get hundreds.

Guns here arn't as easaly available as overthere.

Not in the sense that they kill people, but because they protect our personal freedoms. The whole point of having an armed populace is so they can protech themselves. From enemies outside the country and whithin ie: corrupt governments. That's the whole point of owning guns... right?

I'd like some input from someone who's read and understands the American constitution.

How does it feel to be an ignorant prick? Thirty-two f*cking people were slaughtered today, and you've got the balls to post a thread with such little sensitivity? AFC? Who gives a f*ck? You act as if the fact that he took the lives of an unknown number of others is just a side note. Have you EVER had anybody close to you murdered? I came from the funeral of a classmate today. Suicide. After coming from that funeral, you see the pain, the suffering of people who barely knew him. The fact that somebody's life was ended so abruptly in their own hands is one issue, but the fact that none of these kids who were murdered had the chance to make peace with their family/friends is just overwhelming.

This isn't something that should be joked around about. This isn't a time to be all concerned about "Oh, what would the mythical DJ do if this happened to him?" This is a time to shut the f*ck up, and pay respect to those affected by this.

I'm hearing reports that the guy went after his EX girlfriend and her new boyfriend. Sounds more like a guy who blamed his ex girlfriend for leaving him and felt he had to prove something and get even. That actually sounds more like some of the nastier set on this site than an AFC.
