Vaporizers

What is a good vaporizer to get? I've heard some don't actually vaporize and some are very expensive. There are many choices out there, so I was wondering if anyone can narrow it down some for me.

I've used a Volcano Vaporizer (digital readout), and it's probably one of the best things out there, though. You'd have to take this kind of thing pretty seriously given the price, though.

My friend had a volcano it was awesome, I'm just not looking to spend $500. I used a wood box one onetime, it worked, its just I'm trying to find a decent one that isn't $500. I've seen lower-end models on amazon or ebay for $80 something but I'm not sure if this is one of those "you get what you pay for" type of issues or not. I've heard some products called "vaporizors" don't actually vaporize so I don't know. People at headshops are often really rude and their products are always way over priced so I'm not even going to bother with them.

I actually saw the thread and thought we were talkin about vick's or clearing up a cold
