I have been buying Canadian Silver coins that date pre 1967, because coins then were silver.

Now im interested in purchasing US silver coins (nickles dimes quates dollars half dollars) but i am not sure which era they began and stopped producing silver coins

Canadian dollars and half dollars pre 1967 contain .800% silver,

10c and 25 contain approx. .65%
All pre 1967

if someone could fill me on on US coins, thatd be awesome! or toss some links up

US nickels 35% silver from 1942 to 1945 ONLY.

US dimes 90% silver up thru and including 1964.

US quarters 90% silver up thru and including 1964.

US half dollars 90% silver up thru and including 1964.

US half dollars 40% silver from 1965 thru 1969.

Here's a silver coin calculator, to help determine how much the silver is worth in old US coins. Very helpful so you don't over pay for them. You should be able to pick up old US coins for very close to the silver value in the coins. Sometimes even less, if you score a good deal.
