Upgrading my style, what do you recommend?

Posted this in Anything Else but got zip so whacking it here.

I want to improve my image by wearing some shirts/polo's, chino's/jeans with some smart leather shoes.

To complete my look I essentially need 2 pairs of shoes, about 5 shirts and 5 polos and maybe 1 pair of jeans or 2


Do you guys have any recommendations on sites to go looking for these? I think I'd do shoes and jeans when out shopping rather than online.

Also, any brands you recommend? I have a few Crew shirts, Esprit, and a couple Abercrombie polo's and Esprit again and I was going to look for some cheaper polo's but stick with Crew/Esprit for shirts as they're a good fit on me.

I've got a lot of compliments from my Perry Ellis attire.
Shoes are the most important part of your dress, they lay the foundation of your outfit.
Personally I don't want to have a pair for each of my outfits so I stick to neutral colors (black, white). Since your opting for leather I'm guessing your either looking for the good ole' boy look or a more professional one. (The way you decide this should solely be up to you).

However, get two pairs of jeans, one light and one dark, straight cut.
You can never go wrong with khaki shorts.

If you do this, you can pretty much get whatever shirt or polo you want and have matching items for it. As time goes by and your wallet gets fatter, you can start expanding your wardrobe.

I agree on the shoes point, I have one tan pair that I wear when clubbing, a smarter brown pair that I wear with my chino's and I'm ideally going to grab a black pair and oxblood pair so as to diversify.
I get a lot of compliments on the shoes, initially people were like they're so pointy and they don't suit you but weeks down the line they said they like them so I disregard what people say about my atire now.

Good call on the jeans colours! Though I've found a boot cut suits me better than a straight fit so I'll make that slight adjustment.
