Forget about the phone conversation, you don't need to have a good conversation on the phone. Take her somewhere fun, get physical, and relax.

Phone conversations suck anyway. Why do you want to jabber on the phone like a teenage girl? Make it 5 minutes, set the place to meet, and then it's done. If she doesn't want you to take her all the way home, then have her drive somewhere to meet, then take it from there, and let her drive herself home. I wouldn't object, it's not like she could invite you to stay over anyway. She might just be wanting to save you the trouble of driving all the way out there, like she said.
 

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

i think you should go with your instinct and next her, and in the proces work on your DJ ing skills

and if u havent noticed b4, most people dont have to be 'walked through' a thing like this...because they learn to think on the spot and learn that their is ALWAYS another girl out there...so next the girl

Well I haven't decided, but if I do take her out I think I'll start with my friend's dad's pizza shop and something like a movie afterwards.
