Those are basic things my brother. Things that should be mandatory in every country.

The old shtick about the US being a " great place for entrepreneurs " is one that's from the past. The 90's or something like that.

Again, the top 1 % has more than the bottom 30%. There are estimates about 24(!!!) % unemployment. Mass layoffs eveyday. If things were so great many more US citizens would be thriving.

I'm sorry, but the USA right now isn't even worthy of being considered a first world country. Much more like indeed Brasil, Argentina, Slovenia or Ghana. The difference between the haves and the have nots never been bigger.

And by the way, entrepreneurs in what sector?? I rather be in a place where there's a decent middle class and people have those basic rights you guys seem to detest so much.
And the average wage is still nearly double here than where you live.

Most of what you are talking about is hyped up nonsense that sounds like you are simply a hater.

We also don't pay $8 a gallon for gas either.

Maybe that works when your country fits in a shoe box, but not so well here.

Wages are indeed higher, but everything else is also much more expensive. About 6000 dollars has similar value to 1000 dollars elsewhere.

Quality of food is also at question. Meat don't taste like meat. Milk don't taste like milk. There is stinch while cooking pork. Appears to be growth hormones and whatever sh*t they feed them. Tomatoes don't taste like tomatoes. Cucumbers don't taste like cucumbers. So on and so forth.

You eat U.S. food and you don't get full. No wonder America is 2nd most obese nation in the world, 1st place takes an island in the Pacific.

It's as bad as you don't have a f**king proper salt. Salt you have tastes like sh*t. I had to buy proper salt in Russian minimarket. Same goes for vegetable oil. You cook in your oil and food is just not the same.

Move back to your 3rd world broke country anytime then.

Or are you tired of trying to figure out how to make your average $500 a month salary there work?

Let me just say this about layoffs. Employment goes up and down, it's true, but I don't think I've ever spoken to a person from any generation who thought the economy was in a good state to get a job. Unless they were successful, then they might say something like "Anyone can get a job if they just keep looking". People who have trouble finding a job almost always complain about the state of the economy though, practically without exception. The truth is somewhere in between, of course. Life isn't easy, and sometimes it's harder than others.

There is a huge variety of oils available. I prefer cooking with olive oil. Now you can buy some crap olive oil, but you can buy some quality stuff too. You just have to know what you're getting.

Regarding the middle class in the US, the graph in this article is interesting. It shows that the middle class has shrunk 61% in 1971 to 51% in 2023. But what's interesting is that the lower class has grown from 27% to 30%, while the upper class has grown from 11% to 19%. That means that while the middle class has shrunk, it's true, 8% moved into the upper class, while only 3% moved down into the lower class.

Whats up with this unwarranted patriotic shyte?

Love thy country , okay, but be realistic. I would consider it devilish punishment to love is the States. Hater? Why do you think my English is as " good" as it is? I grew up with American everything. Rap and rock , movies, fashion. The internet simply exposed the USA.

It's telling that someone like you doesn't give two Fs about his fellow citizens well being. You earn good, so F them in tents. We will say" cool imma earn a little less but the poor won't ever starve".

There is still plenty of opportunity in the USA if you want to work for it. I've got Mexican illegal immigrants who came to the promise land 15yrs ago with nothing and are now multi-millionaires. If it wasn't for our pro-business spirit and work ethic this wouldn't be possible.

The difference between you and them is they don't rely on a safety net, welfare, social program to prop them up. They prop themselves up. Thats America.

I do get tired of my government handing out economic and military aid to all of you other countries and then I have to listen to the biatching. You gladly accept my tax donations but try and tell us how to run our business.

Until you become a world super power like us, you can shut the hell up. Proud and Arrogant because we can back it up. If we suck so bad then why does every one want to come here?

And @Gamisch those losers who live in tents are drug addicts who refuse to work. They refuse to get help. We have programs for them. No one will starve in this country unless they want to. They always seem to have money for drugs/booze but not food.

See how much we gave your country:

A lot of this economy is inflated. For example:

Food is a lot more expensive, to the tune of $150 per shopping cart per week. Elsewhere, that same shopping cart would cost $25.

Removing a toilet clog cost $600. Elsewhere in the world, it cost $10.

Numbers really don't mean sh*t, because money buys a less.
You get what you pay for. What oasis are you living that you don’t have decent water pressure in your toiled?

Right. Now to be fair - the long standing policy of the US has been, it’s better for us to build you up, defend you, let you keep that money and in return we have a lifelong group of trading partners. But like all children on a continuous series of hand outs, they got lazy and spent the credit card to no end (to the contrary we bled all over their land for them and continue to). Now these ‘developed nations’ riot due to loss of basic sanitation and other services every 6-18 months because they can’t afford sanitation, and other public services because they’re insolvent even though they have the highest taxes and richest guaranteed health and retirement pensions in the developed world. Don’t even get me started on whatever beachside toilet the above poster I quoted is living in. If those were so great, we would’ve stopped being a massive illegal immigration source decades ago.

Funny nobody in these other countries seems to be crying about getting a share of the $3.8 TRILLION the US has given out in foreign and military aid(which is probably much higher due to CIA Black Ops programs) since WW II ended.

Didn't seem to mind The Netherlands taking $1.1 Billion from the US to rebuild Rotterdam after it was completely leveled under the Marshall Plan either.

Did you pay that back? No.

Maybe you should worry more about your half your country being swallowed up by the ocean in the next few decades.

Before you talk trash, pay back the money we gave you then come back and talk.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Well that comes with being a world LEADER. You get praised when things are great, but you'll get criticized when shyte goes wrong. The latter is the case.

I don't care about patriotism as much as you do. E.g I'm a dark skinned man and I won't hesitate one second to critique dark and brown people as you know.

You get in your feelings because I stated some facts? Cmon now. You started this thread. You thought it would be kumbaja all hail America thread??? Dude. You REALLY need to wake up..I'll repeat for those in the back of the class; ( and I WANT BITG to respond like a grown-up)

- a medical issue can and will bankrupt you
- People sleep in tents
- housing is unaffordable
- a corrupt president who takes ; bribes from Arab countries, sides with Putin(!!!) , deports hard working people, let's Elon Musk clown the White house, starts a crypto scam, so does his wife, ries to annex his neighbors, spend millions on a military parade while people starve.

- gun laws that can't be changed

- Lobbying allowed in politics ( perhaps the most sickening thing)

But..judging from your reaction, things wont change for a LONG time. Why? Becausepeople like you dont give a F about others. You are good so screw the rest. That's called morality.

Ill repeat: you sound like a Brazilian who is fron a richer familyand acts like the Favela is a made up story. Unbelievablehow you can be so blind to it...perhaps I see it clearer because I'm literally far away from that mess.

Not sure the point of the post beyond showing that global markets react strongly to the U.S. because it has multiple world-class economies within one nation. But it also shows the U.S. economy isn’t really "broken" since it's the economy that allowed the country to become the richest and most powerful in the world.

I believe politics is prohibited here and I see why. You guys are too patriotic to have a normal discussion

Yeah EVERYONE in a tent is a drug addicted loser. It's always black/ white, whole in reality life is as colorful as it gets.

Yes the US had GREAT run for decades, but all good things come to an end. Especially when the people are blind to any form of criticism.

where supermarket shelves are routinely barren

With great news coverage like in the U.S. I don't even expect much from you in terms of intelligence and erudition.

Frankly, this brings me to another topic, I digress here for a little bit, I'm sorry. There is a ton of retarded people in the U.S.. They are everywhere. You go to home depot, you ask for a thing, you show a picture of a thing, guy brings you to a different thing which looks somewhat similar but serves completely different purpose, here you go sir. You asking him again, clarify, and he brings you to yet another thing. Eventually you just say thank you sir and move on. Find another guy, and he just shows you where to find what you were looking for.

Retarded people exist everywhere, not only in hardware stores and super markets. Also in DMVs. Our DMVs here get lines at 6 pm the previous day. People wait evening and night to morning until 8, to get in. They only let 60 walk ins in. Why you ask? There is something called D.E.I., it's a program that lets unqualified people work in positions they are not qualified to work at. You drive 4.5 hours north and west, to real America, where there is no D.E.I, and there is no lines, you go in and out without appointment with 40 minutes you're done.

It's so bad that you have to adjust. You don't automatically assume you are talking to a person that is on the same mental level as you, or higher, no. You have to assume the worst and throw in couple of sh*t tests. Because chances are you might be speaking to a retard.

I've been to a lot of places in so called 3rd and 4th world, and this by far takes the cake here.

Not patriotic. Nationalistic. It's okey though. I rather see people like him in power than literal homos like Biden and Shellary and the democratic party which went quite literally gay.

I'm still more patriotic than him though, I'm registered for selective service, he is not.

In the 80s when I was a kid, my grandma got Reagan's free cheese. It was stamped on the side of the box : US GOVERNMENT and then underneath that : CHEESE. So then everyone called it government cheese. At the same time, he also declared ketchup a vegetable for kid's school lunches. I didn't know that as a child, but I do remember wondering why my school lunches had so much ketchup included.

Tomatoes don't taste like tomatoes.
You are right. Most of what is for sale is awful
I grow them for a living. I planted 200 plants today. I'm a big fan of tomato varieties that originated in the Soviet Union. I planted a few today. I'm even learning a little Russian language just from tomatoes, like an ending in skiy means "from that place."

Well I think we are talking about two different things. I don't disagree with you on some of this, the US has a center that cannot hold for long if something doesn't change. It should invest more in its own infrastructure and public health. But it's also a great place to make money or start a business and it certainly is an economic powerhouse globally. Those things can all be true. Just as there are European countries with powerful economies but also stagnated wages and endless bureaucracy for its citizens and small businesses. No place is perfect.

True. A nation with the wealth of the US should not be poisoning its people's food supply. Lashing out at the third world won't change the fact that American food is mostly garbage. That's what you get when corporations get to self-regulate; they do not have consumers' interests at heart.
