ulterior motives ...good / bad?

would you date someone just to increase your chances of dating their friend / sister down the road? especially considering the fact you're not attracted to them?

here's the scenario. i've just realized how fvcking simple this myspace thing is. when i was just coming up, i shunned the internet and chatting as a means of finding chicks ...however, now that i'm plenty confident with cold approaches, it's not a bad extra, and simple as hell anyways.

i setup my account yesterday, and theirs already 2 girls asking me on dates. one of the two isn't so hot, but has a bunch of hot girls on her "friends," which are her close friends...she also has 2 hot sisters.

the other, i'll probably end up going on a date with soon.

but, should i just go on a date with this not-so hot one just to up my chances of kicking it with her sisters or other friends? ...i won't fvck her, but i'll show her a good time, good enough so she'll be telling her friends about it.

i guess what i'm saying is, it would be so damned easy to bag some hb6s that why not do it?

maybe i'm too good for them, but why not? right?

it is a little bit odd: why would you want to waste your time if you completely dont like her? I mean why would not you start talking to her hot friends/sisters directly? Or just hot girl on myspace?

If you think that hb5 would play a good social proof.. it is not the case here: her friends know they are hot and she isn't.. therefore they would not really think she is a good social proof if you date her.

Uhm i just asked my bf about this and sadly, he responded with a yes. he says that most guys tend to do that. OUCH I would hate to be the girl though, but thinkabout this, how mayne dates is it going to take you before you even get to the stage where you are meeting her friends or her sister? Do you actually want to go trhough all that? or maybe you do and HB5 ends up being the one for you (Looks shouldn't matter in the end YES I know they play a great influence but still)...What's her link? Maybe I can check her out and tell you

well, the reason being, i'm not going to pretend like i'm a really hot guy, the prize whatnot, when i'm not exactly such a stud yet.

on myspace, even though i've been on there for like 1-2 days, i've noticed that it's tough to try to get with hotter girls, because most are attention wh0res who probably just setup an account to boost their egos.

thing is, online, it's mostly based on looks. i have an okay face, but i'm not a 10 by any means.

the social proof thing...last semester at school, there was this hb5 that flirted with me a lot. she was chubby, but had a cute personality. i went to her room and watched some movies with her but never made any movies because i wasn't really attracted to her. all the while, her friends would always tell me how awesome i was because before i met her, she would barely come out of her room, etc, etc. problem in that situation was, none of her friends were that appealing either. but, in this case, this girl seems to have some cute looking friends.

i think her friends would think...why hasn't he contacted us, or tried hanging with us...what does he see in her? etc

that was my logic
