"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Uggh... is she toying with me?

She's a Junior, I'm a Senior. I didn't pay much attention to her last year (I mostly checked out her friends at the time) and I think she felt the lack of attention from me. This year, she's the only decent looking girl in class.

She seems interested in me... she starts conversations with me and seems excited when I tell her that we'll be in the same class next semester (along with the current one). Curiously, she always corrects my quizzes in class, even if she has the opportunity (or is required) to correct someone elses. She straight up asked "Do you like me?" one time. I just smirked and said "Nah... not at all." Of course, I later told her I was just kidding. She offered for me to sit next to her one time, to which I replied that we had assigned seating.

I kind of just shrug her off and answer in as fewest words as possible. At heart, she seems like a spoiled *****, duly equipped with the latest fashion trends, in the popular crowd, and pretty unintelligent at times. She resonates superficiality, which I hate. I almost think of her as a curse, because I'm attracted to her. I try to beat the venereal disease out of me during working outs. I'm able to do more reps, I've discovered, when I think about her, because the idea of her toying with me turns into some sort of rage. It seems, though, that when I finally suppress my emotion towards her, she throws another half-IOI at me and I'm back into thinking about her ubiquitously.

Like just the other day, she hugged me for what felt like the longest time. She practically grinded her chest into my arm and held onto me for dear life. I acted aloof, and commented on being molested (to which the person sitting next to me laughed). She asked if I was going to some dance at school. I said "No" pretty definitely; I'm not a school-spirit or any extra-curriculars-at-school type of guy. I finally got her off of me and got back to my work. I dunno, she's pretty flirtatious in nature, always smiling at people and hugging friends. This hug didn't seem that friendly, though.

I honestly have no idea whether she is toying with me or is leading me on. Maybe she’s just trying to be friendly? Hopefully someone has an answer or advice. Maybe one of you can knock some sense into me, because she definitely isn't my ideal girlfriend (apart from looks) but the idea of dating her seems rather... intriguing at times. Thanks for your time.

BTW - I might have acted AFC on most of the experiences. This is partially because I still am AFC (though I've read most of the bible) and partially because I'm at the brink of noninterested when the stuff happened.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

First off, this problem isn't as big as it seems.

One BIG thing that stood out to me, you said "Nah..not at all" and smirked..perfect! Than you said "Just kidding" Ruined!

The big thing about C&F is you never say "just kidding"

Listen, show slight disinterest, like you've been doing, keep running C&F, and this chick will fall right into your lap, literally.

Problem Solved.

Relentless, i agree with celebrity, your definetly not as AFC as some of the people on here, in fact your doing pretty good for yourself:yes:

Theres only one way to know if she is leading you on or not, and i think you know what that is. Just ask her out, if she says yes shes intrested, if she says no then at least you can stop thinking about her.

Hey, thanks. I knew about the kidding rule as far as C/F'ing goes when I did that, I just subconsciously said it.

Eh... I think I'll just continue to run the line a little more, no need to ask her out just yet. It's kind of fun in a way, actually. See if she goes any farther.
