TRUE friends

Something i noticed this summer is how lonely i was. I am stuck in Cuse taking classes and working to pay my rent. And it has occured to me, how little friends i have. I dont mean the number of people i know, but rather how many TRUE friends i have. The type of friend that will stick his/her neck out for you when the times get rough and be there for you no matter what. Right now, i can say that i have 3 TRUE friends. Im not sure if this is a large number or little.

I am a very outgoing person, im willing to have fun on the drop of the dime, but also like to chill alone. But i think there lies my downfall that i enjoy being by myself than hanging out with friends or acquaintances.

Being that summer is a lonely time for most people b/c their friends from school have moved back home, its no excuse for me to be hanging out alone.

Not sure where this is going....more like a rant for help or suggestions.

it's good that you're happy with yourself. I'm sort of like that too.

In terms of true friends, I can name 2 or 3. I think it's pretty normal. You have a core group of true friends, very small, very close-knit, then you have a larger ring of friends that you like.

Summer can be a lonely time. I spend time in my apartment drinking alone at times. It sucks. Wish I had a girl.

dude i only have ONE true friend like this. and shes not even completely truly my friend 100%.

im 16. something i have always hated, is that i was always more mature than everyone else my age (still am by far). most of the people i simply hang out with are stupid and immature. and there are SO many two-faced people that screw me over all the time - MALES even! i too need some true friends. im also cool with being alone sometimes but i feel... lonely. *sniff*

People are like that. I've been through it myself. Had friends...people I thought were real friends....friends I would hang out with...club with...all that.....and they just faded away. People do that....they just fade away and don't stay in touch.

It's the society we live in.....it's such a disposable attitude ..at least here in America. You have a problem with someone.....(unless you work with them or go to school with them) .....they can and do write you off. Why do you think there is so much divorce in America ?????

Mark my words...I thought it would never happen to me....(not knowing a lot of people). I was an athlete and popular in h.s. .....but now..I know very few people.

So keep your good friends close...and BE a good friend!

i had so many high expectiations and thoughts for the summer, to chill with friends, pickup some chicks, work out and improve. but damn, that never got around. i would pickup chicks whenever i want, but i have no opportunities to (no car and stuck in the middle of nowhere), i do go running and am trying to work out but that doesnt really kill off a lot of time.

thinking back on my school life, i really didnt have a lot of true friends. i mean, people knew me and i knew them but the group i hung out with, only a couple of them were TRUE friends, and they went back home, hundreds of miles away. so now i only have two true friends that i truely chill with. it kinda sucks, but i know how you guys feel.

Only three true friends for me:

1) my boss
2) a coworker
3) my cousin

I know these guys would cover my ass for me at least 95% of the time.
